"Computer," Kachiko sighed, "begin recording personal log."

"Lieutenant Colonel Bayushi Kachiko, personal log stardate 95879.03," the tiny white-haired woman paused briefly to collect her thoughts. "We are soon approaching our destination, which I cannot discuss just yet. I am looking forward to the completion of this endeavor, as Reiko is getting anxious back on Earth. Thankfully, Rita is able to watch over her until the both of them can join us at our impending destination."

"Crazy thing, this morning. Out for a run on Deck Three, I came across an unexpected face in the gangway I had absolutely no idea that I would ever see Lord Ensign Kevin Kilbane again. After he wore out his welcome on the Cavalry and annoyed Captain Wentworth, he was suddenly transferred elsewhere," Kachiko reported, actually sounding a hint surprised. "Hopefully, when I finally reach my duty station, I can establish my network again. I don't like being surprised like that."

"So I met our impending Assistant Medical Chief. I hadn't expected to ever see a licensed Marine physician," Kachiko smiled, recalling the lunch shared with the pretty young redhead. "It's actually disappointing that she's a Marine. I do so love redheads."

The spritely woman laughed aloud. "Reiko will want to volunteer in Sickbay once she's back with us, and I get the distinct feeling that she will try to match me with the Second Lieutenant." Kachiko thought back to the doctor, wondering how the young lady would react to having the assistance of the RN educated 14-year old prodigy. "Maybe Cara O'Reilly could help Reiko's inevitable transition to Medical School? I imagine that Reiko will probably idolize the young Lieutenant."

A chime could be heard, before Kachiko sighed, "Computer pause recording and file under incomplete."
