"Computer begin log," was the first thing Kachiko said as she stepped into her new office on the rebuilt Merlin. After the computer chimed, she sat down, "So the Merlin is back online and in space. The Captain hasn't said where it is we're going just yet."

"I'm going to have some difficulty ahead," Kachiko sighed aloud. "Our new Engineer has captured my attention and fancy. I guess that I have always been a sucker for red heads and now I'm on a vessel with two very lovely redheaded ladies."

Then a laugh, "Though I believe that Stephanie would reject the label of lady."

"Any which way, I have my little girl and my niece aboard now. Cai is a Senior Cadet and is going to work directly for the Captain as his yeoman," Kachiko smiled to herself. "I need to get Reiko down to Sickbay for her initial physical and I need to ensure that Cadet Sun likewise shows up for her own."

"I also need to consult Doctor Ki regarding the neurotoxin I'm administered, regarding possible alternatives," Kachiko sighed.

Returning to the prior and much lighter subject, "I imagine that Reiko will be nudging me towards either of the two lovely ladies. She knows me too well and has a penchant for trying to play matchmaker."

"I guess that we'll just have to see," Kachiko chuckled. "I need to get back to reviewing crew dockets. That's all she wrote. Computer, end log and file."
