Melody exited the turbolift and walked quickly towards sickbay. There had been something in Caroline's voice that told her whatever she had found, it was not going to be good news.

She steeled herself before entering sickbay.

She found Caroline standing over one of the biobeds, tricorder in hand. Scanning one of the corpses that was retrieved. "Caroline? You've got some information?"

"Its not good. In fact its horribly confusing. According to the scans, this is one of the crew members. Ensign Rogers from Stella Cartography," Caroline informed her. "All the rest we have identified as Merlin crew."

"My god!" Melody felt the colour drain from her face. She looked down at the face twisted in horror "Do you know how they died? Also can you tell WHEN they died?"

"Cause of death looks to be from an explosion. Blunt force trauma, broken bones. They look to have been thrown around by mass force. Ear drums ruptured. The exact time of death its a bit more tricky. There's severe temporal interference but if I was to guess, the corpse is approximately 30 years of age and we know Ensign Rogers, well the one that's currently alive on the ship .... shes 29 Melody. Whatever happened is going to happen soon," Caroline stated.

Melody let out a slow breath. This is what she had feared, that they had less time to solve this problem. "Can you be any more specific?"

"At this point no. I have some more bodies to examine. I will aim to get you a full report by the start of Alpha shift," Caroline replied.

Melody thought for a moment. "We need to handle this situation very carefully. We don't want news of this getting out, but it might be hard to keep quiet. I want all the bodies we recovered placed in a secured location when you've finished with them. When you come off duty, join me in my quarters for a drink. I want to know your thoughts on this."

Caroline nodded. "Thanks for the invite. I'll speak with the medical staff and make sure no one talks outside of sickbay in the meantime. We don't want crew panicking."
