It had been a long day. The weight of command was resting hard on her shoulders, but she was copying well. She still didn't know she the Captain would be back. After talking with Lana briefly about children, it was still on her mind.

She really need to talk to Sav about this. Now that she was off duty, she was going to relax. Later that evening, Caroline was coming over for a drink. After that, she would have to see if Save'ena was free and if she had made any more progress with Scarlett.

She walked into her quaters with the intent of running a bath. She took a few steps and froze......

There, stood in her quarters........ Was herself!

Her uniform was torn and covered in soot and her hair was a mess.

For a moment she just stood looking. She finally found her voice "Who, What are you?"

The vision spoke "I'm you."

Melody looked at her sceptical "You'll forgive me if I don't take your word....."

"Word for this......" they finished in unison. "You know, I remember this conversation as I'm having it which is really weird." The other Melody said shaking her head.

Melody picked up a PADD and quickly entered some information "So you're saying you're from the future. What did i just write down?"

The other Melody sighed "I'm drinking too much Aldeberan whisky...... and no, your're not having an hallucination. Look I don't have too much time."

Melody's mouth went dry as she set the PADD back down "Ok, let's say I believe you. What are you doing here?

The other version of herself took a step of forward "You have less time than you think, but I can't tell you much. If what I tell you causes you to change what you are going to do, we may never have this conversation."

Both of them shook their head and said together "I hate time travel!"

The furure Melody continued "You have less time than you think. .........". Her image suddenly flickered.

"NOOOO" she cried out "It's loosing power. Remember, to save the ship you have to........."

The other Melody suddenly winked out of exisiatce. Melody looked about frantically "I Have to do what?" She asked the empty room.

She jumped as she door chime sounded in response........
