Timeline: Sunday, June 3rd, 2390, 0130 hours.

It was summer vacation at the Academy. Well, summer vacation for those who were passing classes and were signed off to go. There were others who stayed to take summer extra courses, or summer internships, and of course, 'dink' study, classes for helping those who were failing in some of the courses.

Sav was still there, despite being ahead of the curve and passing all taken courses with very high marks. Her family was visiting the Mephetian home world in the L'Tandrey Protectorate, and it would take two and a half months for Sav to travel there, and that only left a month and a half to come back if only one day was spent there, sooo, logistics said no. She had signed up for several extra courses, but the testing showed she did not need them, i.e. entry exam tested her complete. Fortunately, the art class could use a model, the practice music bands could use her on synthesizer, and the Tai Chi class was always accepting newcomers.

However, like any weekend of having new classes, Sav was having trouble sleeping. Well, not only that, but she was itching and getting irritated in other personal spaces of her body. For a while now, her body had been working on getting rid of the mesh inside, and one way it was doing it was extruding broken off threads out her lower orifices. When they got long enough, well, it was uncomfortable, not to mention embarrassing.

She looked over the edge of the bunk bed, smiling at seeing Rina snuggled among her pillows. Rina's form was very nice, and her subtle fur patterns were very nice as well. As this upcoming Year was just the two of them in a new room, Rina was sleeping in her birthday suit. Sav sighed at remembering some of their talks as Rina wanted Sav to be in her birthday suit as well, but, Sav always said she had to wear her panties, always.

The two had grown immensely in their friendship and relationship, with some flirting and touching games, and, well, with Sav helping Rina sometimes with personal satisfaction. Sav enjoyed it, but knew it was dragging on their friendship on why Sav would not let reciprocation occur. Maybe... it was time to have some help with her threads, and show why she always wore the panties? Sav's body began trembling slightly as she called down, "Rina? Rina? Umm, are you awake?"

Rina's lids fluttered open. "I am now," she said with a yawn.

Sav leaned over the edge of her bunk more to give Rina a gentle kiss across her lips, then finished tumbling over to land on Rina's bunk in a sitting position. She opened her mouth, then closed it, then said, "I want to share something with you... for why I'm... in granny panties... for why.. I can't let you help me as I help you, I don't really, I... ummm.." Sav was trembling lightly once again. She trusted Rina, wanted Rina to know, just, she was scared, scared she might drive Rina away.

Rina could feel Sav trembling and her heart ached for her. She wrapped her tail around the girl and pulled her into her arms. "I don't need to know, baby girl," she whispered as she held Sav tight and kissed the top of her head. "Shhhh.....you're safe," she whispered, consolingly. "I've got you."

Sav leaned over into Rina's hug, and said, "Just, give me a moment. This is a first for me.. since my trauma back on Apollonia in College. It's... I want.. I need you to know what and why.. I'm just scared you won't want to be my roomy when I... show you... and ask for help, if you could, help me with something I need help with... I'm not making sense, am I?"

Rina felt Sav's trembling turn into shaking and she tightened her hug, rocking back and forth. "I could never turn away from you," she whispered. "I love you. Don't you know that by now, Savvie?"

Sav murred into Rina's grip, whispering, "Yes.. yes I do. I love you as well, deep friend Rina, that's why... that's why, you should know" She sighed, then wrapped her arms around Rina. She took a breath, trying to still the trembles, trying to just feel Rina with her. She stated, "I.. I.. something bad happened to me when I was 17. I was almost killed, I should've died. I was.... umm... it was... shoot, I was pierced between my legs, badly, everything inside mangled. Soo, my insides are held together by a synthaduralex weave while they heal, that weave supposedly slowly dissolving as time goes on."

"Oh, baby girl. I am so sorry you had to go through that," Rina said, tightening her hold on the shaking Sav. The way Sav was clinging to her she felt if she let go of her she would shake apart so she held her as tight as she could and whispered consolingly in her ears. "Shhh.....you're safe now, my Savvie. You will always be safe with me."

Sav gladly pressed into that embrace, giving her courage to continue. "The lead doc said that due to me being mephetian, it may never dissolve.. so.. my body is getting rid of it another way. Umm, there are threads that slowly appear and grow longer, umm, from my intimate areas. It hurts to tug on them, it hurts to cut them myself, but they need cut away to stop the irritation and pulling on them by clothing and movement."

Rina closed her eyes. Her heart broke for Sav. She couldn't believe this had happened to such a sweet soul.

Sav held tight onto Rina as she said, "When I do it, it's by feel... I just.. cannot look at myself, not since it happened. It hurts to tug, to pull tight, to cut, and I never get to close so as to, you know, not hurt myself further. Umm, so, I could use some help to cut them, close to mah intimate area, to get some relief. Mind you, though, the docs.. they saved my life.. put in the mesh... but... aesthetics, looks, always come second, yah know. I.. I... probably don't look too good, ayuh." She snorted out an explosive melancholy snort and added, "I really can't ask this of you, to do this too you... I won't press if you don't wanta. So, here goes, wanna help me cut those damn threads?"

"I will give it a try," Rina said. "But if I hurt you I will stop. Can you stand up?" she asked, afraid Sav's shaking legs wouldn't hold her. "Just hang on to me until you can stand." At first she didn't think Sav was going to let go because every time she loosened her hold on the girl she would shake even harder. But finally Sav was able to get herself more in control.

Sav stood up, still hanging onto Rina. She needed her roomy's courage and support right now. Her locker opened and a pair of side-cutters and a small bio-hazard bag came out and tucked into Sav's panty top. She grabbed a sheet and whispered, "In case someone else is about, though I doubt it." She broke off the hug, but kept her hands around Rina's waist so Rina could lead them to the restroom.

Out in the hallway, all was quiet. On this floor of the dorms, there were not many 'exotic' aliens, and everyone was gone for summer break but Sav and Rina. Thus, they made their way to the communal fresher without nary an interruption.

Rina opened the first stall and said, "in here."

Sav looked at the opened stall door and went inside. She did a small smile to Rina as the door was shut and locked. She took a breath, her entire body trembling, as she asked, "Are you sure Rina? I would understand if..."

"I'm sure," Rina said and hugged Sav.

Sav returned the hug as it renewed her courage. It was now or never. She stood up and dutifully took off the granny panties and sat down upon the lid of the stool. Inside the panties was a feminine napkin, with three small spots of blood. Sav looked at it, then at Rina, blushing. She said, "Umm.. I bleed, from everywhere, especially after a lot of stretching and movement. I have been sleeping, so none right now... just.. why I always say I am on my period, though I have not had once since the incident." Her blush grew deeper.

Rina took up a position that would give her easy access to the area and took a deep breath for courage as she placed her hands on the inside of Sav's knees and gently moved them out of the way. She tried her best to not react to what she saw.

Sav looked away as her legs spread open to let Rina into her personal space. Her vulva showed signs of some sort of appalling accident in the past. Of the 'Threads' Sav talked about, there were three whitish threads extending out from her vulva, and one thread from her tuckus. The outer labia were irregular with scarring while the inner labia were scarred and segmented, sliced through several times. Two threads stuck out from the introitus opening and one from the urethral opening. Sav said, "You can gently pull out the threads taught, then cut with the side cutters as close as you can, and the cut threads go into the biohazard bag for disposal. I will hang onto porcelain goddess here and keep still for you... infin yah can do it... can you?"

Rina said a silent prayer to her deity and began. One by one she cut the cords and pinched the ends so they wouldn't bleed.

Sav held onto the stool tightly. She nary made a sound as Rina held out the threads tight and clipped them up next to her openings. The whitish color was a binding coating, while the inside was clear, a very light blue coloration barely seen. The thread, if pulled too tightly, could cut into the skin of a finger. When clipped, they made a distinct sound. There was no blood as the threads could be determined to be artificially made once the first one was cut.

When Rina was done she sat back and pulled the sheet down over Sav's legs and knelt in front of her friend. "All done," she said. "I hope that didn't hurt too bad."

Sav had her head turned to the side, she was gripping the stool hard, and she was breathing in a measured pace. She didn't notice the sheet, but did hear Rina's words. She swiveled her head to face Rina and now noticed the sheet over her legs with Rina looking up at her. Sav released her grip and fully rested upon the seat of the stool. She churred lightly as she replied, "Ah barely noticed, Rina." She breathed a sigh of relief and continued, "This was so much nicer than in the past... thank you." Sav now moved forward to deliberately slip off of the stool to be on her knees and up against Rina and took her into a hug. "Thank you, Thank you, thank you."

Rina folded Sav in her arms and wrapped her tail around the girl. "Anytime, baby girl," she whispered.

Sav gave Rina's neck a gentle nip. "Anytime... Ah will ask, Ah will, tis nicer than when doin' it meself. Yah see, when Ah ama pullin ona threads, Ah know it ana mah body feels the tugs readily. Witha you doing it... Ah could trust in you, ana it didna hurt so bad." She gave Rina another nip, then asked, "So... do yah unnerstand why Ah didn't let you into mah personal space? Ah love helping you with yah pleasure, Ah love it, but, me looks, ana libido, isn't there and Ah cannot say whata happened tah me inna past. Can yah forgive me for taking so long ta let yah know?"

"Nothing to forgive," Rina said with a smile. She was glad to feel the girl start to calm down. Her shaking had dwindled to a gentle trembling and that, too, was diminishing. "I don't love you for your libido. I love you for you. Your good heart....your companionship."

Sav felt herself relaxing into Rina's arms, getting warm and fuzzy, and feeling the sandman calling. It was another fear gone, one of Rina seeing her naked and not wanting to be her roommate anymore. She still had to mostly wear the granny panties due to blood flow, but now when fully relaxing and not doing anything in their quarters... being naked with her deeper bonding BFF sounded grand in the small scheme of her life right now.

Sav nipped Rina's neck again and replied, "Thank you, Rina.. those words, and your help, mean the world to me. I feel the same about you, the who you are." She giggled gently, "Still, I do love helping yah with yer pleasure, please don't let that stop from what yah saw tonight, ayuh?"

Rina ruffled Sav's hair and chuckled. "You worry too much," she said then kissed the tip of Sav's nose. "Now can we get some sleep? I have two exams tomorrow."

Sav churred gently with a light blush at the kiss to her nose. She could not believe Rina was still there with her, and giving her a close friend kiss, after what Sav had just put her through. She snorted out in light humor about the sleep. She had forgotten Rina was retaking a couple of exams to try and bring up her marks. "Yeah, yeah, we both need some, ayuh."

Rina moved her arm around Sav's shoulders and began to guide her out of the bathroom. "And you're sleeping the rest of the night in my bed so you don't have any nightmares triggered by what we just did," she said, emphatically.

Sav readily followed Rina's guidance, and leaned into her when she heard what her now definitely special BFF had said. She snuggled into Rina's side, despite that making it a little harder for them to walk. She replied, "I.. Rina, Ah would really like that, Ah really would. Thanks... and, just... thanks, Me Girrl-Friend, fer everythin'."
