"I don't know where I'm going, but only God knows where I've been. I'm a devil on the run, a six-gun lover, a candle in the wind..." - Bon Jovi, "Blaze Of Glory"

ON:

Corporal Knobs didn't deserve any of this. He was a good officer. He always arrived for his duty shift on time. His uniform was never off spec. He didn't stand out as being special, but at the very least he was rock-solid dependable...So when he had gotten thee order, he had hopped to with nary a second thought.

Now he was laying on the floor, curled up in the fetal position with his hands covering his groin. He made faint wheezing and groaning noises... At least this was how Caroline would find him.

Caroline Miller rarely swore but this was one of those occasions. However she did it in her grandmothers native finnish. Placing the cheeseburger down she started to help the man up, slapping her comm. badge.

=^=Commander Miller to Security. The chief engineer who is at present mentally under the effects of linking with the Borg and possibly compromised, has busted out of sickbay. She needs retrieving and either bringing back here where she will be very sedated or confining to the brig until medical can get to her. She has attacked another officer and is to be deemed dangerous.=^=

=/\="Understood, sir."=/\= Came the response from security.

=^=Thank you and please keep me updated=^=

The man currently she was shouldering was very heavy. She was surprised that O'Hara had the strength to both surprise and floor him. "Nurse, can you get the CMO. He has one more patient."

Michael was preparing for the possible surgery and plan for O'Hara's treatment. His study was interrupted when he was summonsed to the triage room. He saw Caroline and the security guard, he cocked an eyebrow. As guided the man on to the biobed he turned toward Caroline. "So what did she do?" Ki spoke as he scanned the security officer.

Caroline nodded at the poor marine. "Sent me for a cheeseburger saying she was hungry and then," she looked at him sympathetically, "Kicked you firmly in the groin?" the marine nodded cheeks flushing.

"Then she made a bunk for it," Caroline finished looking at Ki. The briefest of smiles flashed over her face. As much as the Chief engineer infuriated her at this moment, seeing this huge man incapacitated enough not to chase after her from a swift kick in the family jewels was unfortunately a little amusing.

=^=Miller to Barstow. Sir O'Hara has attacked a guard and escaped sickbay while I was fetching her food she requested. I have notified security. Just to make you aware. That and also a report for gross misconduct on her behavior will be winging its way to you=^=

John growled as he stood up from the command chair chair, "which is why I told her under medical supervision, damn it," he muttered under his breath and smack the bulkhead with his palm before stepping in, =/\= understood, Captain to all decks, general quarters, repeat, general quarters. Lieutenant O'Hara is to be stopped and taken back to sickbay, non-lethal force,=/\= he ordered and ordered the lift to meddeck as the alarm sounded

As both Ki and Cale, still having been in Ki's office joined her she explained, "She seemed to calm or at least be less rude and obnoxious. She said she was hungry. I went to get food, she floored the guard. Does she do this thing a lot or do we put it down to a side effect of the situation she endured. I am still concerned that she's still linked with the Borg now," Caroline suggested. She wanted to convince herself that this woman was really NOT that STUPID.

Michael exhaled through his nose. "Unfortunately the Lieutenant does not take well to anything medical related. This could be related to the Borg experience, but then again it could also be just O'Hara."

"I don't believe she IS thinking, Counselor, at least not on her own. I can't 'connect' with her at all mainly because I'm not a telepath. I think there's another 'presence' sharing her mind with her." Cale tapped his combadge and said =^=Llewellyn to O'Hara. Respond, Lieutenant. Respond NOW!=^= "Damnit all to bloody hell! She's gone and tossed her combadge off, I know it! And people wonder why I don't like women! I'm gonna have that one's head on a platter by the time this is over and done with!" Cale exclaimed.

Caroline cocked an eyebrow in Cales direction. O'Hara going off on one was not the reason why he liked men. Men just as easily went off on one. She touched her comm. badge once more and decided to contact the strongest telepath she knew.

=^=Miller to Bayushi. We could really use your help with something. Can you get a read on Lieutenant O'Hara? We really need to find her=^=

Kachiko yawned and straightened up in her chair, "Say again, Miller? Sitrep, please?"

"Lieutenant O'Hara has gone AWOL. Shes taken off her comm. badge. She is not of her right mind after her contact with the borg and we need to get her contained ASAP. I recommend sounding general quarters to clear the cooridors of all personel and erecting security fields to contain her. Security has been notified and hopefully teams dispatched. I also suspect your mental abilities would be helpful when we have retrieved her," Caroline reported.

With the patient under control with minor injury Michael had and idea. "There is an easy way to find her. Commander Lilewellyn if we can tie Sick Bay's bio scanners into the internal sensors we can search for her DNA on the ship. Comm badge will not be needed at that point." He had already begun to re format the bio scanners.

"Good idea, Doc, and I thought I was supposed to be the science guy on this ship," Cale said after Dr. Ki made his grand idea. "I think I will be of much more use on the bridge so that is where I shall retire to. If you will all excuse me."

Michael nodded to the Commander. "I will advise you when we have a location."

O'Hara had pulled the access hatch open and disappeared into the bowels of the ship. As she entered there was a ladder that bisected several decks. She dropped her combadge down, then proceeded up, to the next deck and down again.

Where d'ya yer gonna go on this ship where they won't find ya?! She screamed inside her own head.

Why would I stay on the ship? It's going to explode very soon.

They soon found themselves at the main turbolift control junction.

Karki for her part was moving through the hallways on one of the decks above Kachiko a rather large collection of the Marines following behind her. "Two Marines each on all the listed Access ports, if they try to get out of the tubing I want some one waiting for them. I'm heading down to join the Lieutenant Colonel. And put a team in the shuttle bays and transporter pads, work with the Security department."

Kachiko sighed aloud, "What the hell is it with crazy Irish on these ships!? First Malloney assaults people and goes pirate, now O'Hara goes crazy?"

The Marine and two of the better hand to hand Enlisted Marines accompanied the irritated Lieutenant Colonel as she followed the signal from the Irish woman's neural implanted computer interface. Kachiko paused at a Jeffries access hatch and gestured at it, the other Marine and herself both stepping back and training their rifles on said accessway.

"Open it."

Karki moved into the accessway behind the other marines calling out as to not startle them, all she needed was phasered by accident. "Lieutenant Colonel, it's Karki, I've started deploying Marines and Security teams to all the areas where the Jeffries system lets out from here, as well as the shuttle bays and transporter pads, but we don't really have enough people to go around."

"I recommend deploying a couple of squads to Main Engineering, Lieutenant," Kachiko called back.

Karki gave a nod looking at her PADD then taping her com. "Karki to armory, tell one of each team on the bridge and science labs to head to Main Engineering."

Stephanie had managed to dismantle main turbolift control, and both backups. Turbolifts throughout the ship were offline.

This will slow their pursuit.

Why would you want t' destroy the ship? Stephanie wondered, in a bout of pure logic. You would destroy yourself.

Foolish meat. Do you think I'm tied to this form? You are a puppet. When the string is cut, the puppeteer feels nothing. The voice laughed deeply. And the most delectable irony is that all your friends will go to their deaths cursing your name.

Stephanie beat her fists against an invisible wall holding her in place. NO! She screamed. I WON'T LET YOU!

Who will stop me, little girl? You? You are powerless. You are a prisoner in your own mind. What's that quaint little word? Oh, yes. Owned. If you are the Federation's leading data security expert, their civilization is doomed.

She howled in rage as she battered at the invisible walls of her confinements.

You are going to tell me how to destroy this ship.

In a pig's eye. O'Hara shot back.

COMPLY!

With this word, a wave of nauseating, crippling pain washed over Stephanie. Her knees buckled and she cried out.

"=/\=Colonel Bayushi, Lieutenant Karki, Third Squad First Platoon is stranded between decks on different lifts. Ma'ams, they just stopped on us and controls are non-responsive,=/\=" came over the Company net.

Kachiko growled, "F--k! The crazy broad is in the turbolift controls! Karki, you're in temporary command of the company while we look for O'Hara."

"Computer, recognize Bayushi Dagger 8, authorization one three three seven November zero zero Bravo six one nine."

'Dagger Subroutines enabled.'

"Lock Lieutenant Stephanie O'Hara's computer and system access, hardlock all command and communications subroutines to Captain Barstow and Commander Llewellyn only. Activate feedback loop seven, target Lieutenant O'Hara's data port only."

'Subroutines ready.'

"Enable," Kachiko commanded, before looking at the two Marines accompanying her, "I'm giving you two back to Lieutenant Karki for now." The Corporal and Sergeant both nodded silently and headed back in Karki's direction.

Karki gave the two marines signals to follow her one in front and one behind as they flanked Kachiko the three not making much noise, trying to listen for anything out of the ordinary.

"=/\=Bayushi to Barstow. Captain, I locked all command and communication subroutines to you and Llewellyn for until this situation has been handled. I also locked the lass out of the computer entirely and left a feedback loop waiting for her to try and jack in with his her dataport,=/\=" Kachiko reported in a hushed tone.

"=/\=Ki to Llewelyn the bio scanners have gotten a fix on O'Hara's position. Jefferies Tube nine, section six. Just outside bulkhead 37 alpha. I am patching it through to your console now.=/\=" Michael reported from Sick Bay.

"Thank you, Doctor. Security to Deck 9, Section 6, bulkhead 37 alpha, immediately."

=^=Aye Commander. On our way=^= said the security officer in reply.

Melody was in a turbolift her way to her quarters from the bridge when suddenly, a shiver ran though her body and her legs almost gave way. She grabbed hold of the wall as a voice seemed to echo though her head...….. resistance is futile.

"Computer! Halt Turbolift! Deck 9!"
