Melody rushed into her quarters still pulling a bemused Save'ena behind her. On the table lay the remains of what could only be called a feast that could have easily fed 3 people. Melody called out "Sansa!"

Sav slowed down and stopped beside the table. She remembered her early teen years. This... was for a teenage boy... what?

Carrying a glass of juice, Sansa appeared from her room looking rather happy "Hey Mom,! Sav'ena! What's up Buttercup?"

Melody glanced at the table then back to her daughter and despite feeling rather anxious, a smile broke out on her face "Decided to have a little snack did we?" She then glanced at Sav'ena "There's a medical kit in the bathroom, would you mind?"

Sav turned away from the table to look at Melody as the words managed to squirrel their way into her consciousness. She moved forward, breaking free of her revelry, while responding, "Yes, sure, I'll go get it." She continued on her way to the bathroom.

Sansa piked up on Melody's anxious feeling and frowned "I was starving. So hungry..... Mom.... whats wrong with me?

Melody moved over to Sansa and held her close for a moment. "It's ok Sweetie. It's going to be ok."

Coming out from the bathroom, Sav moved up to be against Sansa for support as she handed the medikit over to Melody.

From the kit Melody took out the medical tricorder and started Scanning Sansa.

Sav gave Sansa a gentle, tickling kiss across her cheek as she said, "You grew a little bit, Sansa. It most likely is a regular growth spurt, it happens, but yer Mum needs tah make sure yah aren't experiencing anythin' wrong from yer initial growth years, ayuh."

Sav nuzzled Sansa as she looked over to Melody to see what the 'mum' had picked up.

Melody was still scanning her daughter with a concerned look on her face.

Sansa asked quietly “Mom, what is it?” Then suddenly, without warning shouted angrily at the top of her voice “TELL ME!” Before slapping Melody hard across the face.

The maneuver caught Sav by surprise, but she still reacted quickly as she brought a hand up to Sansa's hand to stop it from maybe swinging again even as she whispered, "Whoah, whoah, whoah, easy love."

The instant she had done it, Sansa looked at her hand with horror and tears formed in the corner of her eyes. “Oh God Mom! I didn’t mean..... I’m so sorry. I couldn’t stop myself.” She managed to get out before breaking down in a fit of tears that were racked with chocked sobs.”

Her check burning, Melody was stunned by the outburst more than anything. Closing the tricorder and setting it down, she drew Sansa back into her arms. “It’s ok Sweetie. We’re. Going to get through this. It’s....”. She paused before uttering the one word that fills parents’ hearts with dread. “Puberty.”

Sav gladly let Melody take Sansa from her while drawing near to be supportive. She listened to Melody's words, then churred out lightly at the last word said. She snorted out in light humor as she added, "Uh oh..." in a gentle, loving tone.

Melody looked at Sav as she cradled Sansa. “The Doctors at Starfleet medical thought something like this might happen. I was hoping that it would happen at the normal rate since they normalized her aging process. But it looks like instead of taking years, it’s going to happen a lot faster. That said it could be accompanied with extreme mood swings and a large intake of calories.”

Sav nodded and replied, "With a lot of love and understanding by usen thrown in, ayuh. Ah'll make some tea fer us." She went to get the tea as Melody had Sansa for now.

Sansa has calmed down now as Melody rocked her back and forth. She suddenly let out a gasp. “Something’s happening!”

Sav quickly came back to the two and enfolded Melody and Sansa within her tail. Its gentle healing energies now engulfed the two as Sav was there for Mother and Daughter, and by promise, her daughter.

As Melody held Sansa she could feel the young girl getting taller. Her legs became longer, her hips flared and her waist narrowed. Her chest developed and there were muffled ripping sounds from her clothes. Her face became more mature. In a few moments she looked more 18 than 13. She was no longer a young girl. She was a young woman.

Melody watched fascinated, tears now running down her cheeks. When it was over she brushed her daughters now much longer hair from her face. “Oh Sweetie. I knew you’d grow up so beautiful. I just wish it had taken a little longer.” She smiled at her though the tears.

Sav stepped back to take stock of the now young woman before her. Talk about your growth spurts. She added, "You're gorgeous, Luv, gorgeous. Now where did I put that shotgun..."

Sansa looked back from Sav to Melody and smiled back weakly. “I’m tired..... so tired.....”

Melody nodded. “I bet you are.” She stood, picking Sansa up who was now almost the same height as Melody. She looked at Sav. “Can you give me a hand to get her on her bed?”

Sav churred as she moved over to help Melody lift up Sansa. She replied, "Of course Ah will, surely. Common Sansa, tahme tah get ah rest."

When they had got Sansa into bed, Melody dimmed the lights in her room and led the way back into the sitting room. As the door closed the tears were still flowing down her cheeks and she turned and buried her face in Sav'ena's shoulder. "Oh Sweetie, I'm loosing my little girl" She sobbed.

Sav held Melody close as she stroked over her hair. She gave Melody a kiss upon her forehead, then said, "No, no you aren't. She will be ouruns little girl forehvah, no matter herun age. Her physical age may be older teen, but her mind's age is still young teen. Weun need tah help her with social trainin, ayuh, and be there fer her, okay?"

Melody held onto Sav and took comfort in her words. She started to calm down, bringing her breathing back to a normal rate.

Sav guided Melody to the couch and sat her upon it. She went to the replicator to get two teas, then came back to Melody. Sitting down next to her, Sav gave her a gentle brushing kiss across her lips, then handed her the tea. "Here, tea, take a sip, relax... then talk."

Melody brought the cup to her face and took a deep, slow breath of the soothing tea before taking a sip. "Ah, that's better. Thank you Sweetie."

Sav put a hand upon Melody's knee, then asked, "So, Melody, I need tah ask... where do ah stand with yah rahght now? Yah lost ourun time togethah ona Merlin during the Perez Nebula mission as yah were in trainin, yet, yah still remembah us tradin' bodies, with was durin' that mission. Ah... Ah want yah in mah life, to be Sansa's mum asa well, but... Ah don't know what yah remembah or know ofa us.. That is why ah gave yah a free pass tah get distance if yah wanted... ana yah took it.. but Sansa said yah didn't want it, yah want me... Ah... Ah..." Sav swallowed, then finished with, "Ah truly want tah be hereun fer Yah and Sansa, but, *gentle sniffle* where do ah stand with yah rahght now?"

Melody listened to Sav and placed her hand on hers, interlocking the fingers. "Distance from you? No No, I thought you were pushing me away....." She took another deep breath and gave her a gentle kiss "Sweetie I know I'm missing some memories of what happened, and that scares me. But not as much as loosing you.... I remember making a fool of myself in the holodeck to what i thought was a hologram of you. I know I told you how I feel and that has and will never change. Sansa thinks the world of you too."

Sav took in a breath, then let it out in a sound of relief. "That is good to hear, and good to hear. Okay, I definitely want to continue our relationship, just, I have this other personality hanging over me, which I guess you encountered with wolf before, and just wanted to make sure we were still on for our future household. Thanks... for that."

Melody took another sip of tea. "Look, I don't want to push this on you but I think you should meet Draxx. After what just happened, i'm sure he'll want to spend as much time as he can with Sansa. You never......"

Melody suddenly stopped mid sentence. Just just sat there, motionless for about ten seconds.

Sav's muzzle moved in a slight jerk as she looked at the now motionless Melody. "Melody.. Melody?" She waved her hand in front of Melody's face, nothing. The eyes seemed to be totally lifeless. Sav started to tremble and start to look around for her comm badge when..

"......know you might like him. Right now can you just hold me, please?"

Melody just started up again as if nothing had happened. She moved her body closer to Sav and looked at her.

Sav had quit looking for her combadge when Melody started speaking again. She looked funny at Melody, trying to make heads and tails of what happened.

"What?"

Sav's lower lip lightly trembled as she replied, "Melody... you stopped speaking, moving, for over ten seconds. Nobody was home, you're eyes were vacant.. it was as though you had checked out suddenly. Are you.... okay?"

Melody frowned. "I Don't remember that, and I feel fine. I've got an appointment with Doctor Ki This afternoon, I'll mention it to him OK?" Melody sounded skeptical but Sav'ena looked concerned.

Sav nodded and said, "Yes, please, most definitely. I.. here." A padd floated over to the table and Sav manipulated the controls on her wrist computer. She now handed Melody the padd. "Here, this is a recording of what happened. I... *blush* I have been recording myself always ever since the last time Uniqueria appeared as I am trying to see what set's her off, umm, sets me off... so, I have what happened caught for you to show Doctor Ki." Sav blushed further and finished with, "I hope you aren't mad at me recording us without telling you.."

Melody drew Sav into her arms. “Oh Sweetie. Of course I’m not mad. I understand.” She took the padd and gave her a gentle kiss. “Thank you.”
