Suzie, his daughter has recovered like most of the affected but Theo never fully recovered from the death of his wife and shortly after found he had turned to less effective coping methods, one of which being alcohol.
This was picked up quickly after he had misdiagnosed a patient who very nearly lost their life because of his alcoholism. Starfleet Medical took action immediately and placed him into counselling and rehabilitation. Recognising that he had nothing beyond his career they did not court martial him. Instead the stripped him of his rank of Captain and demoted him to the rank of Lieutenant Commander as well as reassigning him away from Starfleet Medical.

Personal History Theo was born in the year 2354 and spent his formative years living in England. His mother a Xenobotanist and his father a Starfleet Officer in the Engineering division assigned to the USS Yamaguchi. At the time Starfleet did not allow families to be present on most of their Starships and although he had put in for an assignment to a family permitted vessel, Theo’s father had thus far been unsuccessful. Theo stayed on Mars with his mother while she continued her work.

Theo was a middle of the pack student at school in most subjects but seemed to excel in the biological sciences and sports. It was during this time he started to lift weight, started Callisthenics, yoga and also started Taekwondo. His mother allowed him to join many school sporting clubs but she also enforced that he needed to not only engage his body but his mind as well and insisted on him taking up something from the artistic arts. He chose Piano and from the age 8 he began to flourish and find his path.

In 2367, Stardate 44002.3 the entire Sol System was put in high alert as an enemy vessel made its way direct to Earth. Starfleet was sent to intercept after reports had come in that the Enterprise D had been unsuccessful in stopping it and the now well know Captain Picard had been taken by the aliens known as Borg. Theo’s Father Lieutenant Commander Edward Walker, Chief engineer of the USS Yamaguchi was thrust in the infamous battle of Wolf 359… His body was never recovered and at the age of 13 Theo found himself without a father.

For the next few years Theo was a drift, often getting himself into trouble with the local authorities, acting out after the death of the man he looked up to the most until that is when he met a young Vulcan Women, only a handful of years older than he was and a commissioned Officer within Starfleet Medical. The two became friends and slowly but surley Lieutenant Selar calmed the angry young man and once again focused his passions for the Life Sciences and convinced him to enroll in Starfleet when he turned 18.
Service Record In 2372 he joined Starfleet Academy focusing on the life sciences with a view to train as a Doctor once he had completed the basic four years. The following three years at the rank of Ensign were then used to train in the medical arts and in 2379 he was qualified as a general surgery and commissioned Starfleet Medical Officer at the rank of Lieutenant JG. His first assignment was as junior medical officer on the USS Archer and deployed to support the USS Enterprise E at Bassen Rift. He didn’t see any action but was involved in the clean up after the enterprise had defeated the Scimitar in the Bassen Rift. Theo remained with the USS Archer for a number of years but finally transferred away in 2385 at the rank of Lieutenant to assume his own Chief Medical Officer position on the USS Anaheim, a California Class Starship assigned to Second Contact and supply missions.

Again, Theo remained with this ship for a number of years and rose through Lieutenant Commander to Commander in a short time and this brought him to the attention of of Starfleet Command and Starfleet Medical. In 2393 he was plucked from the USS Anaheim and placed through a Command extension course before being assigned as First Officer to a Medical Support Craft, the USS Nobel where he remained for a year before being offered his own Medical Ship and a promotion to Captain.

In late 2394 Captain Theo Walker took command of the medical frigate USS Curie. He remained in command of the Curie until 2399. Within that time his Vessel took on assignments across Federation space. A global pandemic over a Benzite Colony world, medical support craft that responded to a battle between Romulans and Klingons over a world on the boarder of Romulan space which Theo then also negotiated a cease fire for in preparation for the Federation diplomatics to aiding finding a resolution. There were many other missions but non as notable.

In 2399 Starfleet Medical reassigned Theo once again, this time to Chief Medical Officer of the central Medical Facility located in London England on Earth. This would be his spring board assignment into the Admiral ranks. All was going well and his daughter had now completed her time in Starfleet Academy and Theo able to spend time with his Wife Aysha who he had met in 2379 while coming up on his medical commission from the Academy. They had a daughter and got married very quickly and had been happy in all that time, on the USS Curie she had even served with him as his Chief Engineer.

In early 2401 Aysha had been invited to take part in the Frontier Day celebrations over Earth and had been deployed to Earth Spacedock to support with the USS Enterprise F decommissioning. When the Borg commenced their intended invasion Aysha had been caught trying to evacuate the civilian population. She was lost when Earth Spacedock exploded while under attack from the coopted Federation Fleet.

In the following months Theo in his grief developed an alcohol dependency which ate into his working life and lead to mistakes that would have ended anyone’s career if not for the mental health related difficulties. Admiral Crusher stepped in and although he was stripped of his rank of Captain and demoted back down to Lieutenant Commander he was not court martialed on the provision that he would not serve in a Command position again within Starfleet Medical. This meant his only options were to return to Fleet positions.
