Standard Fighter Ready-Go terms

Fighter


Ready 5 - Fighters are manned and fully ready for flight and positioned near the launch bays. Fighters can be launched within 5 minutes of being ordered to.

Ready 15 - Pre-flighted, armed, but unmanned fighters near the launch bays but with the pilot or crew standing by in the squadron's ready room, ostensibly able to launch within 15 minutes.

Ready XX - Other times for ready to launch. Most times, extra time given for being able to adapt fighters with mission specific pods. Ready 20 is the absolute minimum, standard is Ready 30. Usually used during known non-war combat.



Runabouts/Shuttles




Ready 30 - Shuttle/Runabout is on the flight deck and prepared for flight within 30 minutes of being ordered out, includes loading mission specific items. Spacecrewmen teams are not required to be on board, but must be on the flight deck or mission ready room.

Ready 60 - Shuttle/Runabout is on the flight deck and prepared for flight within 60 minutes of being ordered out, includes loading mission specific items. Spacecrewmen crews are not required to be on the flight deck or ready room, but, must be flight ready.
