Miller has been strong since joining. With her position as the CMO she has made sure to log with every member of the crew at least once, though more often than not we can always find her doing a joint post, weather on duty or off. She has even taken up an NPC in charge of the ships lounge, which allows her even more interaction with the crew and she is very proactive about starting joint posts with the Sims crew. |

This is a crew wide award. I set a goal of posting 80 quality logs by the time I have to file my report on 31 July and the crew of Merlin has not only met that goal but have risen very comfortably above it, and in just week since the goal was set. Very well done, I'm proud and excited to be simming with you guys!

USS Merlin, TF72
I am beyond proud to nominate the USS Merlin for the award this month. Once again, they have shown what a crew working together can achieve. Earlier in the month, the Commanding Officer was appointed as Senior Ship Commanding Officer, but that didn’t stop him from posting, and being even more active, taking a great approach to talk to the Commanding Officers in the Task Group to get some ideas flowing and most of the Commanding Officers have really appreciated the extra set of eyes on their website and what they are doing. On the USS Merlin, he challenged his crew to reach 90 “quality” posts over the month, and even with a bandwidth issue and a change of website, they were still able to not just reach that goal (with time to spare), but even that didn’t stop them, reaching 98 posts, and I took the time to read some of those posts, and they are of the best quality, they aren’t just a couple of one-liners to post out to boost the numbers, they are pure quality writing from crewmember after crewmember, and a lot of them are joint posts, showing me that this crew has a sense of family, respect and most importantly; teamwork. They are the epitome of what we should all be looking at for our simulations, and they should all be proud of what they have achieved in four short months that they have been part of Obsidian Fleet! Well done USS Merlin crew!

Miller has been great to have on the sim. Since coming on she has kept sickbay under control despite a rowdy crew, even answering a 3 am call from the CO when he was having nightmares. Miller is approachable and can always be counted on.
(2O Citation) Miller always runs a tight ship in sickbay responding to any crisis with a cool head and even going through full decontamination procedures for an exercise drill. Always well written and professional. |

Miller has developed her character very well. She is very 3 dimensional, going from work, to hanging out with people in the lounge to trying to keep her past at bay. Reading her logs I can say I have really gotten to know her character as someone that could be a live person.
(XO Citation) This is one character I am very pleased to have aboard because of his ability to hit the ground running and to keep the ball in play.
(2O Citation) Debs makes the character of Miller come alive and always makes interactions with the rest of the crew enjoyable. Sometimes throws curveballs in there which can take joint posts in a direction which was not originally thought of but always interesting. |

The USS Merlin has been an oak for TG72B during the transition of a new TGCO coming in. Captain Barstow has managed to keep up with his duties as SSCO and still motivate his crew to put up great numbers and quality posts. I have been impressed with the resilience of Captain Barstow and his crew. Keep up the great work!

Friendship Ribbon
Awarded Tuesday 23 April 2019 @ 21:45
Nominated by Lieutenant Michael Ki MD

I would like to nominate Caroline for this award for the friendship that has been started between her and Dr Ki. When I designed the character of Michael Ki I always envisioned someone who was sort of like Gregory House from the "House" TV show. If my vision has come to light then Caroline is he Lisa Cuddy to his Gregory House. In the series of posts between her and Michael surrounding O'hara this bond has begun to forge. As both a writer and a reader I look forward to seeing how this relationship will develop over time. Will it stay friends and colleagues or become more? Once more I feel that Ki needed a foil like Miller to become more of a complete character. So I would also like to thank Miller for making Ki more real to me. |
