ON:

Sav came up to Captain Bayushi's office. At the Tribunal on the Friday before, she had readily agreed for Kachiko to come with her to her evaluation at the chosen counselor's offices. She read the Padd that had been handed to her at breakfast, 'Commander Erik Trouyian, Lead Evaluation Counselor'. She shook herself to get rid of her jitters. Of course it would be a commander, a lead counselor, and a male, as per her usual luck. She looked over to the Aid, smiling to him, "Could you inform Captain Bayushi I am here?"

"No need, I have eyes, Cadet," Kachiko chuckled from behind the Mephetian.

Sav came to attention as she heard Kachiko behind her and replied, "Ma'am, reporting as requested, Ma'am."

"So it seems," Kachiko said cryptically. "Let's not keep the Counselor waiting. With me, Cadet." With that, the pair exited the waiting room, not having far to go. Counseling offices were in the same building, located in the precise center of the Starfleet Academy campus. The main administration building, as it were.

Sav dutifully handed over the padd as she turned and walked out of the waiting room for Student Advisor offices and down the hall with Kachiko. The Counseling offices were down the hall and to the left in the main administration building. The first floor was dedicated to Cadet services, the upper floors to admin, finances, R&D, Teacher services, etc. She glanced at Kachiko and said, "My assigned Counselor. Umm, do you know him?"

Kachiko shook her head, "Only by reputation. I generally don't liaise with staff much. I'm more focused on my Cadets."

They arrived at the counseling offices. Sav's body shuddered an involuntary shiver of terror before she could get herself under control. It had been less than two years since she was subject to the 'kindliness' of Starfleet's Finest Psychic Counselors on Apollonia, and it was hard to keep down her terror at facing those 'counselors' again. She momentarily froze, then looked at Kachiko to smile at her, despite her ears laying back along her head. Kachiko was there for her.

"Calm, Sav," Kachiko intoned for only the Mephetian to hear. "You sure you're ready for this?"

Sav whispered, "Yes, ready. Let's do this." She walked into the ante room with Kachiko and dutifully went up to the counter with the counselor Aide present. Fortunately, it was a female, a Senior Chief Debra Hodgekins. She smiled to Sav and did a polite Salute to Kachiko, "Welcome Cadet Tillatix, Captain Bayushi, please have a seat. Commander Trouyian will see Cadet Tillatix shortly."

Kachiko smiled, "You don't gotta salute me, Senior. Specially not indoors." The spritely Marine turned and ambled over to the row of seats against the bulkhead, sitting quietly.

Sav took a seat next to Kachiko, closed her eyes, and practiced a calming Kata she had learned from her martial arts qim-zuun belt. In another five minutes her ears were perked back up and her terror was mostly hidden inside. She whispered to herself, "Give it a chance, not all Starfleet is like that... give it a chance... "

Erik came out of the hallway that led to the offices. Unknown to Sav, he was chosen specifically by Vice Admiral Kennedy by an interesting factoid in her medical dossier and Vice Admiral Kennedy hoped this would push Sav over the edge to strike out again. However, while it did affect Sav, it was the wrong way from what he was hoping. The counselor came up to Kachiko and Sav, holding out his hand while smiling, and said, "Hello. I am Lead Evaluation Counselor Erik Trouyian, and I am here to give Cadet Tillatix her initial evaluation for the requested courses and to see if they are needed."

Sav looked up and froze in abject terror. Her evaluation counselor had elongated ears, geometrical markings along the left side of his head behind his face, his scent very specific, his skull structure forward front, and it struck her to her core. He was Zibalian. Zibalian, the same race as Diostros.. same race as the one who bought her for her body, her life, her pelt.. same race.. same race.... 'breath breath breath.. not Diostros.. not Diostros.. not Diostros..'

Kachiko sighed, "One moment, Counselor." Kachiko turned the much taller Mephetian to face her, then, '~Sav, doll, look at me.~'

Sav's eyes were wide open, her whiskers full out at 125 degrees from her muzzle, her ears laid back, and her tail was fluffed and fully hiding her from anything trying to sense her. She did not hear what Kachiko said, but 'heard' the telepathic request. She managed to turn her head towards Kachiko, but maintained the counselor's face within her eyesight. Then, within her, she realized she could not do that, so her ears perked up to train on the counselor even as her eyes relinquished their hold upon his visage and shifted to look at Kachiko.

When the light furred, reverse coloration Cadet was finally looking down at her, Kachiko continued, '~Stare into my eyes. Try to count the striations in my Irises.~' This was far from her first time helping a frightened Cadet like this and she found that her unusual blue eyes tended to help distract from their fears.

Sav's hands jerked as once more as she remembered sharp, ripping pain felt between her legs, to spread upward and inward in an overwhelming sense of pressing pressure, tearing, and slicing of everything within her abdomen, even as her heart trip-hammered as hands forced her head forward to stare into Diostros' eyes. What was shared with Kachiko over their link was not known by her, but, the eyes before her were Kachiko's, and the remembered command was 'count striations'. She swallowed as those eyes and instructions tampered down the memories engulfing her and she sent, ~Count... striations...~ She did so, and even did one better. Her entire will fought back as she was there for Kachiko, for Marshall Kenathau, for herself. Not only did she count the striations, she followed them, sensed them, saw the IR patterns of Kachiko's eyes as well as the slight ultraviolet shape, and she reconstructed Kachio's eyes within her natural spatial abilities.

Sav's ears shifted to focus on Kachiko, her tail calmed down, and her whiskered moved back toward their normal 45 degrees from her face. She breathed, her thoughts once more attuning to the presence, and the now. She smiled to Kachiko, a light tremble going through her body as she whispered, "Sorry.. for that. better now."

Counselor Trouyian watched the interchange. It was only a couple of seconds of real time, but he immediately could see the reactions to him, and then the calming action by the Advisor. He sighed, wondering why so many cadets came into the counseling offices so afraid of counselors. A minor brush with the law, minor recreational drugs, a snitched glass of wine or shot of alcohol, all normal growing up and nothing to be concerned about. Of course, with this particular individual, there was danger from claws, anger, and resentment, according to Vice Admiral Kennedy, but he would cross that bridge when he came to it. He tilted his head a little bit and asked, "Issue? Will we be able to get this done today?"

Kachiko saw pretty much everything that her charge was remembering, the woman setting a small hand on Sav's forearm. When the Counselor spoke, Kachiko looked up at the man, "I apologize, Commander. The Cadet has a history of trauma at the hand of another Zibalian. Unfortunately, someone has tampered with her mind and it's giving her issues. I need to speak with Vice Admiral Chen, but that can wait until after we are finished here."

Erik straightened his head and mused with a light 'hrmmmm' from his throat. He straightened up and said, "Such is noted in her counseling, as far as the trauma goes. I did not realize it was another Zibalian. That is unfortunate. So, please, let me know when I can take Cadet Tillatix to my office for the evaluation."

Turning those electric blue eyes back to her charge, Kachiko smiled lazily, speaking aloud, "Sav, you're okay. The Counselor is not the man who hurt you. I will be with you the entire time."

Sav nervously nodded to Kachiko. She dry swallowed, took a breath, and finally answered, "I'm okay. Counselor Trouyian is not the one, and you are here." She took another breath, then nodded, saying, "I'm ready."

Kachiko nodded once with a faint smile, pleased that she had been able to help the girl take back control over the sudden terror.

Erik motioned with his head, "Okay, Cadet Tillatix, please come with me. This is just an evaluation as required by the Tribunal requirements." He glanced at Kachiko and said, "As this is counselor/cadet confidence, you must remain out here and wait for your charge, Captain Bayushi."

Kachiko could have objected and interject with the need for Federation security, but chose instead to relent. Sav did need to learn to get by without her there. Gently patting Sav's back, she watched the two depart for the back.

Sav dutifully followed Erik through the hall and through his main office doors. After they were shut, Senior Chief Debra Hodgekins moved around the desk and came up to Kachiko. "Captain, Sir, would you like any refreshment?" She glanced back at the doors, then back to Kachiko, saying, "Counselor Trouyian is very good with the Cadets. Cadet Tillatix will be fine, Ma'am."

"I know, Senior Chief. Save'ena is stronger than she knows and I am well aware of Commander Trouyian's reputation for being very easy on troubled young Cadets," the small dark-haired Marine smiled at the other woman. "I don't need anything, thanks. I already tanked up on coffee this morning."

Inside his counseling office, Erik went over the notes from Sav's initial Cadet Evaluation, along with the notes from Vice Admiral Kennedy on Sav's civilian record from a previous run-in with Starfleet. For some reason, those records were sealed by Vice Admiral Chen and not to be used by the Tribunal, but, this was counseling, not the tribunal, and Erik had to weigh everything. He asked, "Please, Cadet Tillatix, tell me what happened on the night in question."

As Sav told her side of what happened, Erik was under the distinct impression that Cadet Tillatix was telling the truth. She was sincere, her body and eye language showed she was remembering, and she even tried to downplay some the roles of the two cadet's who were tying her up from her perspective. Then, he followed up on some questions about the incident on Apollonia, and was profoundly surprised at the Cadet's tonal changes and her stories about her imaginings about the other Zibalian and the decree of the courts. He dug deeper, only to find out that she would not directly speak of what happened, hid things, and would only say what was allowed by the courts, and was very aggressive about stopping any further digging into what happened to her.

As Erik completed his notes, he noticed that the Cadet was nearly in tears and seemed very anguished. Still, he had to go by what he his evaluation session uncovered and what was needing to be done.

==== Counselor Notes - Attached to Cadet Saveena Amilia Tillatix's file ====

Counselor's Notes - October 2nd, 2389

Freshman Cadet Saveena A. Tillatix was on a weekend excursion with other freshmen being sponsored by Senior Classmen. Admiral Krenshen had approved of this outing by this particular club. She assaulted two senior classmen, leaving deep cuts upon them before running off in the woods. She was found, dehydrated, and emotionally distraught. Her story of waking up being bound and she had to escape did not match the story of the Seniors, while the freshmen were not awake to see what happened.

Thus, Cadet Tillatix was ordered in for counseling and discovering why she had made up such a ridiculous story and thought she could get away from it. In her initial counseling, while she seemed to genuinely believe what she was saying, it was detected by counselors that she was hiding something else, but would never say what. Thus, with the notes from previous counseling that occurred back on Apollonia, we had to assume she had went into fantasy again. Counseling agrees with Tribunal assessment that Cadet Tillatix needs Anger Management and Self Control classes to protect other Cadets, or be expelled from the Academy. I will monitor her during and perform a final evaluation on her at the end of those classes.

==== End of Addendum ====

Erik let Sav compose herself, then led her out of his office and back to where Captain Bayushi was sitting. He looked at Sav and said, "Attention, Cadet." Sav dutifully came to full attention. He nodded to Kachiko and said, "Captain Bayushi, it is the finding of the initial evaluation that Cadet Tillatix is having some self control and anger issues, even though not fully realized according to the Tribunal Findings. However, to show she is not a danger to herself and other Cadets, she needs to take a quarter of an Anger Management class and a Self Control Class. At the end of these classes, she will return here for a final evaluation to determine if she remains in or is discharged from the Academy. Her lessons will start this evening after normal class schedules."

Kachiko stood as the Commander and Cadet returned, "I understand and will be sure that Cadet Tillatix here attends these classes."

Erik smiled and replied, "Thank you very much, Captain Bayushi." He turned to Sav and said, "Cadet Tillatix, if you need to talk about anything, or have something come up that is troubling to you, please don't hesitate to swing by and talk. My door is always open."

Sav remained dutifully composed as Erik and Kachiko had talked to each other. Upon Erik letting her know about his open door, and what happened, she dutifully replied, "Sir, Yes Sir. I will avail myself when the need arises, Sir."

This seemed to assuage Erik. He nodded, saying, "Have a good day." He turned and went back into his office, getting ready for the next case, a recalcitrant Senior Cadet whose scores were to low but was wanting to party and not study.

Kachiko looked up at Sav, feeling as if she'd inherited a teenager of her own, which was unusual for the clone without a family, "Come on, let's get you to your first class, Cadet."

Sav performed a quick nod, her hair flowing about her face, as she responded, "Yes Ma'am."
