John sighed as he sat on the sofa in the fully furnished residential apartment he'd rented. Starfleet had provided quarters to his crew, however, he thought Sierra had seen enough Starfleet rooms for a while and wanted her to have a space that was more civilian in nature. He looked to the bedroom where she was taking a nap and stood up to walk in and lay down with her when the chime rang at the door. Barstow stopped and briefly thought about ignoring it then decided he had better just answer. He moved across the room and pressed the button, "yes?" he asked the Vulcan dressed in a grey suit.

"Commander Barstow, I am Sakin from Temporal Investigations, may I come in?" he asked cooly as he quirked an eye brow at the Commanders t-shirt and jeans.

"Of course," Apollo replied and stepped back, motioning the man in the door, "you didn't need to come all the way out here for my request."

Sakin clasp his hands at the small of his back and walked in, looking around the main living area before turning to look at Barstow, "given the sensitivity of the matter and just how involved in history your displaced crew have become," the Agent replied, "you realize we cannot condone any further temporal incursions," he said more than asked.

John took a breath and sat on the armrest of a nearby chair, "with all due respect, those people do not belong in those times," he said firmly, "I know you have access to the Guardian as well as four temporal ships, you have the ability to retrieve them even if you don't allow me to."

"Commander," Sakin started, taking note of the mans tone and the scowl forming on his face, Humans, such emotional creatures<,/i>, he thought to himself, "putting aside just how you have access to such classified information, we do not just go and alter time in that way. Out of over nine hundred crew we have nearly nine hundred instances of the timeline being affected," he replied, his voice showing disdain in a very Vulcan way, "to remove them would alter things in ways that could destroy a great many events and even people."

The Commander stood up, the back of his thighs hitting the chair and causing it to slide as he rubbed his forehead, "so, what, I'm just supposed to leave them where they are? What about those that stayed off the radar?" he asked and turned to face the Temporal Agent angrily.

Sakin raised an eyebrow, "quite simply, while they did their descendants did not," he answered calmly, "as you say, we have the ability to go where you cannot. I'm afraid you cannot retrieve them, nor can we, for the sake of our timeline."

John fought the urge to strike the man, knowing the surge of anger was only from his anger at himself. The CO paced angrily as Sakin watched quietly, staying madeningly calm.

"Commander, the best thing you can do is forget about them, it is illogical to be upset about that which you cannot change," the Vulcan said matter of factley.

"You cold blooded son of a b-" the CO growled and spun to quickly face the man, stopping himself just short of lunging at him , "fine, then answer me this, what is Capra and is my current crew still safe."

Sakin regarded the Merlin Commander for a moment before drawing in a breath, "Commander I am not at liberty to discuss that at this time. However, I can tell you that it will not affect you or your current crew," he said then started walking towards the door and paused, looking briefly at the deck before turning, "this should go without saying, however, in your current emotional state I feel I must tell you. You are to stop all investigation into your crew, Capra and what happened. From this point forward everything dealing with this situation is classified top secrete," he finished and walked out the door.

As soon as the door closed Apollo grabbed a glass from the nearby table and threw it, shattering it against the door.

"Daddy?" Sierra asked quietly and rubbed her eyes.

John turned and instantly kicked himself, "I'm sorry baby girl," he said quietly and moved over, picking her up and took her into the room, "lets go back to bed," he said quietly and walked back into the bedroom.
