Greets All,

The Command Team has been talking and we would like to tell y'all how impressed we are with everyone (we say that a lot, but only because it's true :D). We have been watching and we are proud to present the following awards:

Lieutenant Commander Cale Llewellyn:

Service Accommodation - Cale started out as our Chief Science Officer and eventually was made Merlin XO. During his time as the Chief Science he didn't just focus on his office, he was involved in multiple logs from helping to chart a course to mission 2 to helping the away team plan almost every aspect of the mission. All of this plus his willingness to help and give advice behind the scenes is also why he was selected as the XO

Right from the start Cale has always gone above and beyond what was required from him, having to cover the Ops station while leaving spacedock. He also helped plan aspects of the upcoming plot and current away mission and even though he initially started out as the Science officer, he has now risen to the challenge of First officer with style and panache. He has also helped with new crew members offering guidance and support both in and out of character.

Lieutenant Melody Jones:

Departmental Service Badge : Command – I'm in agreement with everything the XO has said below. Melody has taken to the sim and her position as the second officer seamlessly. She has helped to direct 2 battle logs while also keeping helm and the ship moving.

Melody has been an outstanding character both on and off duty. I've been impressed how well someone whose first sim has picked up and ran with the Second Officer position. She's just been an outstanding officer and a good friend to many of us.

Lieutenant Carolyn Miller:

Good conduct medal – Miller has been great to have on the sim. Since coming on she has kept sickbay under control despite a rowdy crew, even answering a 3 am call from the CO when he was having nightmares. Miller is approachable and can always be counted on.

Professional Merit – Miller has developed her character very well. She is very 3 dimensional, going from work, to hanging out with people in the lounge to trying to keep her past at bay. Reading her logs I can say I have really gotten to know her character as someone that could be a live person.

1st Lieutenant Elias Walker:

Promotion: Marine Captain

Departmental Service Badge: Marines – Walker has been great to have as our Marine Commander. He has demonstrated a very good knowledge of Marine simming, including coming up with a used terms list for our wiki. He has also not played the stereotypical Marine – getting in fights, disrespecting Fleet just because they are Fleet, etc – and has made an outstanding effort to have the Marines be part of the crew rather than just passengers.

This is one character I am very pleased to have aboard because of his ability to hit the ground running and to keep the ball in play.

Walker has demonstrated leadership qualities and an intimate knowledge of Marine protocols and procedures. He has also displayed courage under fire and has bonded well with both the other Marines and rest of the crew

Lieutenant junior grade David Tan:

Promotion: Lieutenant

Departmental Service Badge: Service – Tan came on board just before the plot started, starting in tactical then changing to ops. After getting to ops Tan has done what he can to keep himself involved with the plot, ultimately leading to him taking charge of Merlin's TIC during a fight in the absence of a strat ops officer.

He has demonstrated the ability to make his characters become larger that life and is excellent at going deep as far as details go.

Tan has adjusted very well from his changing positions from tactical to operations and continues to keep up the high standard of posts in his new position.

Professional Merit – Since joining Tan has not just developed his own character but his family as well. Some simmers brig a family in but forget about developing them. The Tan family is one I feel I am getting know and I love reading the family logs.

As well as the main plot, Tan continues to give depth to his character by adding lots of details with side plots of his family which are detailed and very interesting

Lieutenant junior grade Save'ena Tillatix:

Air Medal – Save'ena's logs during the fight with the Romulans was incredibly detailed. She presented a solid plan for the fight in her logs and managed to keep everyone, including the ship, involved, taking the lead so well I did not feel I had to lead that joint post.

Saveena has demonstrated a high level of skill as a fighter pilot during the Romulan encounter, displaying a good comradery with her fellow flyers. The posts are always very detailed and highly descriptive.

Friendship Ribbon – Save'ena has gone out of her way to get to know the crew and log off duty with them. In particular the friendship developing with Melody. In reading their logs I really feel like I am watching two close friends hang out and worry about each other, very close to watching an episode of Star Trek on TV.

Frank is currently working on a very deep and long term friendship with Melody Jones with some very detailed and interesting developments.

Has demonstrated a good knack for integrating with the rest of the crew. I regret that I haven't had the opportunity to meet with Sav but I will make a concerted effort in the future.

Crewman David Scarlet:

Promotion: Lieutenant (j.g.), Chief Tactical/Security

Newcomer of the month – David came in mid-plot. However, this did not stop him from jumping in. Right as he joined he was added to a joint post that had already been started, but, he jumped in seamlessly and added security's needed presence to the log.

He has shown talent for jumping right in and getting his "hands dirty" and I am looking forward to seeing how he handles his new responsibilities as Chief

Having just joined the Merlin, Scarlett's writing is always of the highest caliber and respond to joint posts in a timely fashion. Is fun to simm with and contributes well to joint posts.

Departmental Service Badge: Service - David came in mid-plot. However, this did not stop him from jumping in. Right as he joined he was added to a joint post that had already been started, but, he jumped in seamlessly and added security's needed presence to the log.

David started contributing to the posts straight away despite being dropped in mid mission and picked up the thread really well and added to the overall story line.

Now in the above myself, the XO and 2O have all added citations [in that order], it really is all 3 of us selecting these ;). Congrats to everyone!
