Chief Strategic Operations Officer log,

This is my first entry since accepting my reassignment to the USS Merlin. In my three days aboard I have been working on retrofitting the Tactical Information Center on decks 4 and 5. I've met with the chief of security and the heads of the marine detachment and fighter squadron. This of course after meeting with my new CO, acting Captain Melody Jones. I've read the reports of the crew's previous mission and I understand the need for shore leave and why the few crew onboard are so...tense. It appears as if I will have a harder time getting to know my new clan than what would normally be expected for a transfer. However I'm up for the challenge. Most of my staff have arrived. I used my clearance to get the ship the newest weapons and body armor. I hope to start working on my personal shield belts once I get to know our mistress of safety more. I was happy that she allowed me to get the weapons and armor here. I hope to prove myself useful and this is just the start. On a supplemental note, I hope my new CO will allow me to have my personal shuttle a bearth in her ship. And apparently my cousin's ship is coming to the station. It will be nice to see the shortest Thaan in existence again. Well, Rionuj signing off.
