A glimpse of things to come

Personal log Stardate 239406.02

The Captain has been called back to Starbase 306 leaving me in temporary command and so far it's turning out to be a very unusual experience. The Merlin entered the Perez nebula several hours ago to begin charting this previously unexplored phenomenon only to find a derelict ship hidden within.

That in itself is not so out of the ordinary. However the ship is of Federation origin and has been here over 5000 year. Since the Federation didn't exist back then we assumed the vessel has traveled though time.

The away team we sent over not only reported strange visions of ghostly crew members but they brought back the ships dedication plaque. If genuine, that ship is the Merlin from the future!

Great..... more time travel headaches! Temporal investigations are going to have a field day if they find out!

We still haven't been able to determine how far from the future this version of the Merlin is from. I'm sending an engineering away team over to try and access the main computer.

I've also called a meeting of the senior staff to discuss the implications of our discovery.

Since we a currently missing a Chief flight control officer, I've decided to have Save'ena fill that role. I'm sure she won't mind. After all, she did train as a bridge specialist. And having her close by isn't a bad thing either.

I intents to inform he of my decision when we've hopeful got some answers from that ship out there

Still..... something about it troubles me. The fact the away team found bodies over there as well suggests some if not all of the crew were along for the ride into the past but they didn't see enough to account for the whole crew. So where are the rest?

The sooner we get some answers the better.
