The Cabin in the woods

ON:

Sansa had picked up Belle and along with Hamish was following Aurae back to the cabin. She thought to herself that Hamish seem more enthusiastic than she did as she could still not shake this... weird feeling she was getting from Aurae and could still remember the vision of the small being with wings she had seen in an instant when they first met.

Hamish was rather alert, trying to gauge Aurae as a person. He was feeling a stranger electrical vibe coming from her. Couldn't quite put a finger on it though, as to why that was.

After about 5 minutes they arrived at Aurae's cabin. It was similar to the one Sansa and Hamish were staying in. They went inside and the first thing she noticed was while it was welcoming with nice furniture and trinkets dotted around, there were no pictures of friends or family anywhere to be seen.

Aurae sighed. "This is my sanctuary. Would you like some fresh lemonade?"

"Lemonade would be perfect." Hamish replied, looking about at how the place was decorated. It was quaint and the trinkets reminded him of his cousins shop. He was wondering if they were handcrafted. "Those look amazing." he said walking over and gazing at a few.

Aurae went into the other room for a moment and Sansa came over close to Hamish and whispered to him "I'm getting a... strange feeling from her. And when we first met, I sware, for a moment I saw...."

She stopped as Aurae re entered the room carrying a tray with three lemonades.

Sansa smiled as she accepted one "Thank you, so how long have you been on the planet? Were you here before the Ba'Ku arrived?"

"It seems like an eternity... " Aurar answered cryptically and then deftly changed the subject "How long are you staying?"

"We are only here for a short time, just long enough for our ship to get repaired. Then we'll be back out in space." Hamish responded. "Definitely back to exploration and discovery." smiling at that thought.

"Exploration is overrated." Aurae scoffed, and took a step closer to Hamish "Besides," she added somewhat coyly, "There is so much to discover here, you'd be surprised what you could find, maybe even something you never expected to find."

The way she was now looking at Hamish was starting to grate on Sansa. Was she jealous? No, there was something more. The way she spoke to him, lilting... almost hypnotic... as if she were trying to seduce him...

"Well, thank you very much for the lemonade but we really should be going. Hamish?" She took a step towards the door, hoping he would follow.

A chime sounded from his PADD and Hamish gave a start, "We have that dinner with your parents, thank you for the invite, er Aurae, but we've got to dash off." Hamish gave a nod. Hamish was still curious but, he had a dinner to attend and it shouldn't be ignored. He walked over to Sansa taking her hand. "Shall we love?"

So grateful and relieved that he was coming with her, Sansa gripped his hand rather tightly. She managed to smile at Aurae "Thank you for the drink, you have a lovely home. I'm sure we'll see you around." And with that started moving towards the door, almost pulling Hamish along with her.

Aurea smiled and replied, with her gaze more towards Hamish than Sansa "Oh yes, I'll be around."

Something about her response made Sansa pause at the door and look back at her and again, for the briefest of moments she saw her as a fairly like being, her wings beating steadily as she floated in the air."

She blinked and since again, and all was as it was before.

Without another word, they exited the cabin.

As they walked back to the way they came, Belle snuggling into Sansa's arms, she was trying to collect her thoughts, to process what had just happened.

Eventually, she spoke. "What did... you think of her?" She asked cautiously, trying to gauge his response.

" I am not certain, there is a pull towards her, but it's probably my curiosity as she seems to be a walking enigma. I thought I saw something earlier when we first met her but I wasn't certain. If I had my tricorder with me, I could have gotten a reading of her and her cabin. I am interested in finding out how long she'd been living here on Bak'ku. I had promised myself not to get too much into my studies and ignore you. I just didn't want to do so." Hamish gave a gentle smile his eyes looking deeply into hers.

Sansa stopped walking. "You saw her like a fairy? Didn't you?" She asked, her voice shaking slightly. "Complete with wings..."

"I saw something but I wasn't quite certain, Mathias would know more of what I may have seen. It did seem like there was a double image of some kind. Then again, this planet can change a person's perceptions as the body is changing while being here." Hamish looked about where they had paused but, I do not know and won't know until I can use a tricorder."

Sansa frowned. "I suppose it could be this planet playing tricks on me, but twice now I saw her as if she was a fairy. It only lasted for a split second. And did you notice the way she was looking at you?" She shuddered. "I didn't like it." She pouted, then looked at him, concerned "You don't think she's.... prettier than me, do you?" she said, then heard the words she was saying, realising she sounded like a jealous lover.

She shook her head, trying to dispel this fuzzy feeling that seemed to wrap itself around her thoughts like a blanket. she added in a whisper. "I'm sorry..."

Hamish gently pulled Sansa close to him, "There is something about her, but Sansa I love you and I do not think her to be prettier than you." Hamish placed her hand against his chest, having her feel how rapidly his heart was beating. "You are imprinted upon my heart, in such a short amount of time we've been through a lot. Sure we're in the budding stages of our relationship but, love, it would take a witch's spell to drag me away from you. And even then I would find a way to get back to you." lifting her chin upwards to place a kiss upon her lips.

There was a small flutter of the curtains as Aurae watched the two lovers, her eyes narrowing and a determined set to her jaw. She will have him...

Sansa drew herself closer and felt safe in his arms. The magical kiss was interrupted by a small woof from Belle.

Sansa giggled and squeezed Hamish's hand "Come on, let's get back."
