Draxx adjusted his hat and slouched back further into the seat on the little boat. Around him the water was deep blue and calm. The sun was shining, not to hot and not too cold. The forest beyond was a beautiful mix of browns and greens, only broken by the bright coloured tents his wife had insisted they bring.

He looked over and smiled, waving at Melody who was prepping the grill and his 3 young and beautiful kids running around chasing each other laughing. Next to him was a decent number of fish. The hunter gatherer would come back to camp successful in his venture and feed his tribe.

He took a sip of his beer, still remarkably cold and reminisced about days long back with his grandfather teaching him the true man’s sport and the Draxx family cast.
“Talking off,” he muttered to himself, “One more for the road,” he grinned determined to get yet another Spiney fish.

He found himself whistling a melody he hadn’t heard in years as he cast off again. Where had that come from?

Something then fritzed. He had no other way to describe it. One minute he was alone and the next briefly a red headed young woman was in the boat holding a spiney fish grinning. “You will get one next time dad”.

As quickly as it happened, she was gone.

He shook his head, perhaps he had had too much beer or sun?

Looking back to his family Sansa’s red pig tails flew behind her as she was “It” chasing Alex but for some reason she had little Rick balancing on her back.

The bite on his rod pulled his gaze back. Reeling it in he was thrilled to see yet another spiney fish.

Flash again the young woman grinned at him. “You will get one next time dad.” And she disappeared.

Draxx looked down, he had an entire bucket of spiney fish. Now that was starting to feel "off".

The next thing he knew the sky became overcast and the heavens opened. He was confused the weather report had been sunny skies. Something was off ...

Again, his eyes dipped to the spiney fish as he reached for the oars trying to steady the boat, the waters now suddenly getting choppy.

He was about to row for shore when words floated in his head, “Not logical.”

“No, its not,” he said suddenly. Looking at the fish again. “Not logical I caught all ……”

The boat was starting to sweep him away and then there was a further flash, except this time it was him who appeared somewhere else and seemingly didn’t disappear again.

“Not logical Seklar,” he muttered again looking up at the Vulcan his boat had collided with now on dry land.
