As Lieutenant Commander Cale Llewellyn entered his office off the main level of the Tactical Information Center, he took a deep breath wondering what was going on with their trip to the Vega Xu Colony. He had temporarily relieved himself of duty due to some personal issues with his 'parents'; despite them not being the most stellar of examples of proper parenthood, he missed them. He checked the ships' status from his terminal and was relieved to see not too awful much had happened in his absence. He logged himself as having returned to duty so that Commanders Barstow and Bayushi knew that he was back to form.

"Computer, activate ICOS avatar, please."

A slight hum of holographic activation accompanied by a human-sounding feminine voice saying, "How may I be of assistance, Commander Llewellyn?"

"O my, aren't you a looker?" he said as he noticed the avatar's sudden appearance. "I need some information on the current ships' status."

"Go ahead, Commander Llewellyn."

"First, when we're alone, please call me Cale. 'Commander Llewellyn' seems a bit cumbersome. Second, I want to know of all the recent crew additions since I've been on LOA," Cale asked.

"Lieutenant, junior grade Stephanie O'Hara, Chief Engineer, human female. Ensign Riv O'Malley, Assistant Engineer, human/Andorian hybrid male. 1st Lieutenant John Kayhill, Company Commander, human male. Along with several other enlisted officers whose names I am displaying on your terminal, Comm...Cale. My apologies, Sir. Is there anything else you require?" the avatar asked.

"Actually, yes, there is. Just how much of the ships' systems are you tied into?"

"I am tied into every facet of the ship required of my program, Cale," she replied. "Is this sufficient?"

"Yes, I believe it is, for now anyway." Cale looked around at his terminal and read the information supplied by the avatar. He nodded and sighed. Apparently, their new Chief Engineer was a less than model officer. That may cause some issues with Commander Bayushi, he thought to himself. Upon further examination of the data, he noticed that the status of Red Alert had not been lifted. So he figured it was high time he reported to the bridge. "Computer, deactivate the holographic avatar." and the computer beeped it usual response while the avatar herself shimmered out of existence. "Llewellyn to Commander Barstow. Commander, I'm back."
