Miles, having stopped by his quarters before moving to the holosuite, found himself unsure of how to best to move forward. "Computer, run workout program Miles 4, also, bring up a monitor and show me this program I am to eradicate from your system." Once the holosuite changed to a jungle scene, Miles began his warmups with his spear. "Computer, what programming language is this subroutine written in?" The answer concerned him, "Unknown." Hmm, as Miles began feeling more limber, his spear began moving more rapidly. "Computer, let's treat this like a Klingon Blood Tick. We need to isolate it, and then tease it out into the open so we can remove it without harming Merlin."
As soon as the words left his mouth, two holograms appeared, both armed with swords and shields. Closing his eyes, Miles went on the offensive. Every move was near flawless, the instructions of his Klingon friend, boyfriend, partner, flowing through his head. After several attacks the soldiers were dead.
"Computer, create a fractal algorithm, using files from my personal drive, input information, from the 'red' folder as needed. As the 'red' files are in Klingon, create a new language that is a blending of Cardassian and Klingon, as this programmer hopefully hasn't encountered these languages maybe that will catch it by surprise." After a few moments, a female voice says, "Your program is ready." Nodding his head again, "Implement it as Rejal 1. Save this algorithm as we may need it again in the future."
Miles steps off the combat grid to the computer monitor to watch the battle now happening in cyberspace. "Computer, as the program begins to unravel, salvage any parts that aren't harmful to further study."
While watching, a chime alerts him to new enemies, spinning around he breaks into momentary laughter, then calls out, "Computer halt program Miles 4." Walking up to his new round of enemies, he finds they have been armed with bouquets of flowers. Turning back and looking over his shoulder he sighs, "Computer, something's awry. End program Miles 4, and just make what we are working on primary in the chamber." As his enemies disappear, a larger monitor appears. Putting his face very close to it he murmurs, "These aren't Borg computations. They aren't anything I've ever seen. Whoever this is they are bloody good."
"Chief Rejal, your algorithms have isolated the subroutine." With a sad smile Mils says, "Thank you, please terminate the subroutine, then run a diagnostic to ensure it didn't fragment itself, and that it did not other harm to our systems."
Looking at the chronometer, Miles notices that almost an hour has elapsed since he began. With spear in hand, he makes his way to the nearest food replicator, "Chilled Klingon Bloodwine with electrolyte replacements." Once the drink emerges. and he starts drinking it, he begins to wander back to Main Engineering wondering how the others are doing.
