ON:

Chaos. Kyhl rushed over to the next bio bed and quickly went over the readout as a nurse worked on setting the broken arm. "Set and mend the arm, are you good to go back out there?" She asked the patient as she stared into his eyes.

"Yes ma'am."

"Good." Kyhl said with a bit of a smile. The guy had gumption. She just hoped she didn't see him back here in critical condition or worse.

Looking around medical to find where she was needed next, she took a second to take it all in. Injured people were walking or being carried in from various parts of the ship. They were cycling through beds as quickly as they could, but many who could stand were getting treated on the run.

"Incoming!" Shouted one of the two guards who were carrying Hayley between them as they burst into Sickbay. "Severe trauma." He said as he brought her over to the doctor standing in the middle performing triage. "Lost an arm and has a severe head wound. Can we leave her with you? We're fighting a running battle out there."

"Yes. Go." Kyhl said as she took a look at Hayley. "We need a bed! Now!" Kyhl helped take the burden from them as another nurse brought a bed over toward them. This one had clean sheets, which were begining to be in short supply as well right now.

"Oh, and we have her as well. No physical injuries, but she's suffering a fair bit from shock I think." One of the younger guards said, who was walking beside Sansa, helping her along. "She refuses to be separated from the Commander here."

During the journey to sickbay, Sansa had managed to take hold of Hayley's left hand, refusing to let go. She hadn't spoken a word, just staring straight ahead.

Kyhl just frowned. The wounds Hayley had could be treated easily enough to stabilize. Sansa... this kind of mental trauma was a whole other ball game.

"Hayley is our primary concern right now. Gorn claws aren't exactly sanitary." The andorian doctor said firmly. "Get me a full scan, disinfect the wounds and begin running her through the regenerators stat."

A nurse rushed over, her uniform already bloody, and she placrd her hands on the stretcher. She looked at Kyhl and then to Sansa still holding onto Hayley.

Kyhl put her hand on Sansa's shoulder. "Sansa, Sansa dear. You have to let go so we can help Hayley. Everything will be alright. We're going to get her back on her feet as soon as possible."

Sansa looked at her for a moment as if she hadn't heard her, but she slowly nodded and, reluctantly, let go of Hayley's hand. As if Hayley had been providing support for Sansa, the moment she let go her eyes rolled backward in her head and she fainted, collapsing on the deck in a heap.

"Dammit!" Kyhl swore as she attempted to catch Sansa. She gritted her teeth. Priorities. She looked at the nurse. "You handle Sansa, I'll tend to the Commander." Although it could be tight, they could try to get Hayley somewhat functional or at least conscious sooner than later.

As the nurse went to Sansa, Kyhl turned the stretcher and pushed it along through the throng of busy and injured people to the regenerators. "Don't worry Hayley, we'll get you patched up in no time."

For Hayley, everthing was a chaotic blurr of lights, pain and nausea as she struggled with her condition. She'd heard Sansa's voice, but it had been distorted and distant, but at least she was alive! Something was pressed against her neck and soon nothing mattered...
