Melody Confesses

Melody had come straight from the round table straight to Sav's quarters. She knew it was late but she really needed to talk to her Sweetie. She pressed the door chime

Sav was sitting at the table in her nightgown and drinking a tea. She was reading a paranormal romance book on her padd. It was the closest thing she found in the Federation Library that had furred sentients in it. The door annunciator broke into her mindscape and she proceeded to the door. After making sure she was decent, she pressed the door button.

As the door opened Melody threw her arms around Sav before she had a chance to speak.

Sav shifted back as her climbing claws came out as someone leaped upon her without any warning. Fortunately, thanks to knowing Melody's scent, she did not finish acting on her fight response and managed to retract her claws even as her arms went around Melody.

"Hey Sweetie, I'm sorry its late but a I really needed to see you, can I come in?"

Sav churred and replied, "Sure thing, come on in." She backed up to let the door close, then after a quick kiss onto Melody's lips, released her and nodded towards the table where the teacup and padd were. She asked, "Cup of Tea? And, are you carrying a medkit?"

Melody looked confused at her for a moment "No, why?"

Sav went over and poured Melody a cup of tea as she replied, "Because, my dear, I almost raked you with my claws when you grabbed me without warning when the door opened. If I hadn't known your scent and paused because of it... medkit needed. Just.. don't do that again, alright?"

"I....... I'm sorry Sweetie, it wont happen again." Melody blushed slightly.

Sav handed Melody the tea, then topped off her cup, saying, "Nothing to be sorry about. Just an FYI fer ya." As she sat down, the Teapot moved of its own accord, thanks to Sav using her telekinetics, back to its spot on the counter. She smiled as she saw the black dress on Melody. "So, how did your date go?"

Melody sat down besides Sav and brought herself close to her. "Well........... It went great. Perfect" Melody said with a hint of sadness in her voice.

Sav gladly moved closer to Melody as it allowed them to more easily share all the details of the date. She churred gently at the great-perfect, but her ears twitched with the sadness in Melody's voice being at odds with the words. She said, "Wait, what? You're voice says 'problem', but yet, you said perfect. What's wrong?"

Melody went on "That's the problem. It went perfectly. David was a perfect Gentlemen. He did everything right. Under that rough exterior is a very....... Charming gentleman and ................."

Sav churred gently as she liked how this was going. Melody was finding a male to her liking. Now it was up to Sav to see if he would also accept the second half of the package, her. She grinned at Melody and said, "Sounding good so far.. I'm liking how this is sounding.. no problem yet... go on."

Melody sighed "When I kissed him.............." She looked Save'ena in the eyes. "Sweetie, you know I will always love you....Always........ but......... I find I'm having............. Feelings for David.......... Strong feeling."

The churrs in Sav's breast were sounding louder now. She was so pleased with this development. She gave Melody a quick kiss across her lips, then said, "Yes, we love each other, always." Her ears focused onto Melody, "So, how strong a feelings? Maybe love?"

Tears were starting to form in her eyes "At first it was just a show to catch my stalker, just an act. Now............... Sweetie. I'm so confused. I don't want to hurt you and I don't know if David is just going along with the act? Or if there is something else there. Something...... Real."

Sav hushed at Melody as she gently wiped away the tears on Melody's eyelids. She was now glad her churrs were loud as they masked the low voice Melody was talking in to her. The Stalker could be watching as Sav hadn't done a check yet. She leaned forward to give Melody a kiss on the ear while whispering, "Hush about Stalker... unknown if room secure." The 'consoling' part done, Sav drew back from Melody and took her hands into hers. She now said, "Melody, I'm hoping there is something there. Dates are just for that, to find out if a male is right for you or not. Have you made another date yet?"

Meldoy nodded. She had forgotten about the stalker. She hoped she hasn't given the game away. "We haven't set anything permanent yet but I would like to see him again. What are you thinking? You're sure your thoughts not hurt?"

Sav squeezed Melody's hands, saying, "No, you aren't hurting me in the slightest. I want us to find a guy, remember? We are a parcel, two wives for a lucky guy, Mephetian style marriage. So, you need to date David some more, find out if your feelings are really there, then we approach him together to ask him out on a date with me." A funny expression came across Sav's face, "Umm, do you think he'll like me? Has he said anything? I sure didn't make a good first impression on him, that's for sure."

Melody looked at her for a moment slightly shocked. A small smile played across her lips. "You find him attractive too?" She asked raising an eyebrow "He knows about your counseling so He knows what caused your previous behavior." She paused as she thought "I'm sorry I was being a bit selfish wasn't I, just thinking of myself. Is he someone you would be interested in?"

Sav giggled, then leaned over to kiss Melody. She now said, "As you're interested in him, I'm interested in him. Anyone can love another, as long as they are committed and willing to meet that commitment. You're having feelings for him, so I need to date him to develop those same feelings. You are sensing something within him, now I need to do the same."

Melody nodded "As I said I'm not sure if he's genuinely interested or it's just....... for show. I haven't heard any development on...... that front so I'll have to have a word with him."

Sav sighed, then added, "And, that he knows is not the same in how he feels about me. Has he said anything about me? Could you ask him what he thinks, and feels, about me? That will help immensely in how I would approach him to ask for a date. Heck, that will help you in how you approach him for further dates as you and I are a package, together."

Melody gave Sav a hug, "I'll sound him out when I see him. Would you like some time alone with him?"

Sav churred and replied, "Only after you have verified he has feelings for you as well. It's a two way street, Melody. Once you verified he has reciprocated, we'll go on a three way day, You, me, and him, to chat with him about our arrangement, and see if he has any attraction to me. All it takes is a start, an attraction, the rest can follow from there."

Melody relaxed into Save'ena's embrace. She felt a lot better having told her all about this. "Sounds good to me, Sweetie. Also I have a surprise for you, now that you've been cleared for duty again. Meet me in shuttle bay one tomorrow night just after midnight in your flight gear, we're going for a little spin."

Sav churred gently and responded, "Flight gear, tomorrow night, midnight, date, check." She laughed, "But, won't the flight suites interfere with our making out in a cockpit?"

Melody raised an eyebrow "There's not much room to make out in the cockpit I'm afraid, we'll might have to leave the making out till afterwards." she added with a wink as she looked into Sav's eyes.

Sav kissed Melody on her nose, then her lips. She now asked, "Sleeping here tonight, or going back to your quarters? I wouldn't mind snuggling and getting some rest... and a brushing from you now or in the morning, ifin yah wouldn't mind."

Melody sighed "I'd love to stay but I've got the feeling I'll have a very grumpy hedgehog to get back to who hasn't had her dinner yet plus, I've got some details to finalise for out little test flight. I promise I'll make it up to you tomorrow, ok?"

And with one final kiss, Melody headed back to her quarters.
