Melody had asked Lieutenant Rejal to come to the ready room that morning so they could discuss where they were up to with the current investigation. A fresh pot of coffee sat on the table and Melody had poured herself a cup while she waited for Regal to arrive.

Looking at a PADD, Marbim stops at his Captain's ready room door. Pushing the button he waits to be summoned into the room. He is not liking the information collected so far, not one bit.

Melody looked up "Come in." As the door opened. "Ahh, Good morning Lieutenant. Hows the investigation coming along?" She gestured to the pot on the desk "Coffee?"

Somewhat distracted he replies, "Yes Mam." Pouring himself some coffee, and lacing it heavily with cream and sugar he replies, "I'm not happy. This information looks like medical data, and, and I hate to say this, medical data used to figure out how to either torture someone or break them apart to rebuild them, a tactic used by the less savory parts of my government. Our new Chief Engineer is still working on the computer, but that is what she has shared so far. What worries me, is that it looked like some people, humans at least were helping run the place."

Melody took a sip of her own coffee. "What troubles me is what were species 8472 doing on a colony that were attacked by the Borg? And Where dose this Puppet Master program fit in? Who created it and why? Lieutenant Rathburn has provided us with some co-ordinates that Species 8472 were studying, we're going to investigate. I thought she deserved a promotion after such getting engineering in line so quickly and efficiently. Speaking of promotions," Melody rose "In recognition of your work to date, I'm promoting you to the rank of full Lieutenant. It was something I was discussing with Captain Barstow earlier. Congratulations Mister Ragel." She smiled held out her hand.

With a shocked look on his face, Marbim reaches out and take her hand. "Thank you, Captain, I'll give you 110 percent whenever I can. Um, Mam, you should know, I am currently courting Commander Tillatix, that's who I wanted the time with that Commander Cale approved."

Melody smiled. "Lieutenant. Your personal life, as long is it doesn't interfere with your duties is your business. And if you make Sav'ena happy I support you all the way. I think our next move is to investigate the co-ordinates that Lieutenant Rathburn found and see what's there. I asked Rathburn to show Doctor Ki the medical information she discovered to see if hew can determine what they were using it for. As soon as he's given our two survivors a clean bill of health, they can be given quarters. Is there anything else?"

"Actually yes. Commander Sav'ena and I, we made some modifications to both the chairs and consoles for the bridge crew. We'd like to share them with you and see about getting them installed the next time we're at a Starbase, or we have some downtime. That first Borg attack really opened out eyes to what can happen to the crew when our starships take damage."

Melody nodded “A sound idea. I know I'm tired of being thrown out of a chair every time we take serious weapons fire. Bring to Lieutenant Rathburn attention and I’ll see if I can add it to the list when we next dock.”

Melody stood "Right then, lets get underway." As she led the way onto the bridge. "Yes Mam, Captain." Marbim replies as he follows his Captain out onto the bridge.
