With my Family an hour away, I decided to take the decision request a change to my role on the USS Merlin ...

After a lot of thought I asked the Captain if it would be possible to be reassigned as Chief Operations Officer. I feel this would give Lana less apprehension during our time aboard the ship, especially given she was keen for me not to undertake another ship-borne assignment.

Commander Barstow was more than happy to accommodate my request, which I fully appreciate. I will tell Lana over dinner tonight ...

I have now moved into my, sorry, our, new 'Family' quarters, or rather more descriptively, a suite, located on Deck Two, The refit for the new 'school' is well underway, so all's well there ... I'm sure Lana and the Children will want to make changes to the suite the second they arrive, At this point we have two bedrooms, ours (obviously) and one that Kenzi and Mia will share.

Am I dreading what awaits us on my first mission as the new COO on the Merlin ?, No ... Am I dreading the conversation regarding which of my Children have which bed ?, YES !!!
