My oh my, things are certainly moving fast on this ship. that's good, I like it just so. Another drill today on the weapons systems that turned out successful. Caroline was involved in another drill involving a bio hazard. From what I understand she wasn't exactly pleased with having to go through decontamination just for an exercise.

We got a new Bolian science officer and a new marine squad leader. I've never met a Mephetian before. I've heard of them but this is my first personal encounter. From what I hear of her she is a flyer, same as me and from what I saw today she certainly knows how to handle a fighter. I'm looking forward to getting to know her.

Nothing much else happened today, except I got a promotion!

I'm now a full lieutenant and the ships second officer. As always I wish my parent could have been hear to see this, especially my mother.

Caroline treated me to a wonderful meal, she got a promotion as well which she richly deserved after all her hard work.

Cale had a funny turn earlier on the bridge today. He went to sickbay and when he came back he was looking a lot better. Then he got a major shock of being promoted to XO. I didn't get chance to talk to him, will have to meet him for a drink and a chat later.

Ikiri is still in sickbay after our....... incident in engineering where he read my thoughts and I read his which was........ unsettling. I still haven't being able to totally shake a weird feeling I've had since. Caroline says I'm ok but I'm still not convinced.

Well, off to bed now. I hope that coffee doesn't keep me awake.
