Marine CO's log 2

   Elias removed his helmet. It hissed as the pressure equalized to that of the pressurized EVA shelter. The marine's had set two of these up for meals and oxygen replenishment while the were operating on the asteroid.

Setting seeing his helmet down,  he moved to a bench and picked up a PADD.

 

"Marine CO's log,  current stargate. The marine unit has so far established two free fire zones on the asteroid for the in coming Dragon flight. We've set up a small base camp with no set back,  surprisingly. As for our demolition exercises, we had one set back. On the second set of ordinance there was a malfunction in the detonator. The problem was easily fixed, but never should have happened in the first place.

 

The third demo set was a 1km from base camp and went off with no problems. However since then we have registering some peculiar reading come from the site after the explosion. I have plans to send a party to investigate the sensor readings at the end of this training cycle.
