"Well, i finally allowed my now former Commanding Officer to convince me that a move from the Galapagos to a new venture, the USS Merlin, an Excalibur Class Star Ship."

"Captain Komin graciously allowed me three days leave to go back to Earth to see my Wife and Daughters. To say they were happy to see me needs no mention, but i know it upset Lana when we discussed the new assignment. I had promised to request a ground-based posting to be closer to my Family, but Captain Komin was reassuring, and unbeknown to me, had spoken to Lana by sub-space prior to informing her of the offer of a possible transfer. I believe this is the reason I was able to go home.

"Leaving my Family was harder this time, but i know I'll be home more often now, as the nature of the Merlin assignments isn't strictly long-range missions, though we could be called upon to undertake such a mission at anytime."

"After almost four days of travelling, a large percentage of which i had no idea of our location and ultimate destination, we made our rendezvous with my new vessel. I spoke to Lana once more before leaving the shuttle Tangiers and am now about to depart the shuttle and board the Merlin."

"Funny .... I had a lot i thought i wanted to say, but for some reason it's completely slipped my mind ... Go figure eh !"
