Apollo walked slowly through the deck 2 corridor, running his gloved hand along the bulkhead on his way to his quarters. He was on hs way to meet Cale, but, he had taken a slight detour justifying it to himself that it was on the way. John needed to see fo himself his daughter wasn't there alone and frozen on the deck. He knew he shouldn't think that way, but, he couldn't help it. Barstow stopped at his cabin door and took a breath. After steadying himself the Commander pulled away the keypad and pulled the emergency release lever behind it, releasing the hydrophilic pressure on the doors. There was a loud crack as the thin sheet of ice cracked. Once there was a wide enough space he put his shoulder in and pushed the doors apart with a grunt. John held up his arm and shined his wrist torch in the cabin, slowly shining light over every surface. Nothing was out of place, no exploded consoles, no char patterns from any weapons.
Apollo let himself breath again and rested his head on the door and closed his eyes, "Barstow to Bayushi, checking i on deck two, no bodies, no sign of fighting. Llewellyn, I'm on my way to engineering," he called and took one last look inside at the young girls picture before turning and heading for the jefferies tube again.
Since boarding the small group of officers had retrieved the the command recording for the last few days of the bridge and verified there was no other people on the ship, at least no life signs. So far there were no bodies either, which left them with a mystery. In an effort to get some kind of answers he had the medical team attempting to brinng the EMH up, the Colonel looking over the flight deck and Cale checking the computer core before the brought power back online in engineering. As John climbed down the ladder into the cold and dark depths of the ship he was glad to have both officers with him, if only because they knew him and knew he had a reason for what he does. As he stepped off the ladder on the engineering deck he tapped his comm badge, "all teams, report in," he ordered then started to crawl forward toward, what he hoped, would be answers.
