ON:

Sansa had finally managed to replicate a new dress that fit her and made her way down to sickbay. Her mom had told her the Doctor wanted to give her a quick examination. She entered sickbay and went over to one of the nurses. "Excuse me, I'm looking for Doctor Ki."

"I am Dr Ki and you must be Sansa. Your mother told me to expect you. Why don't you have a seat on any one of the exam beds." Michael said with a smile as motioned toward the beds.

Sansa hopped up onto one of the bio beds. "I think my mom just wanted to make sure I was ok. Did she.... tell you what happened?"

"She did. But I am curious to hear your take on it." Michael spoke with a smile as he began to scan her. Right away he noticed the elevation in her hormone levels. It seemed that her development was slightly elevated. However, before Michael diagnosed he wanted to hear the girl's side of the story.

The young girl took a deep breath. “Well my Mom tells me that she was pregnant with me a very short time and after that it took the Doctors at Starfleet medical some creative thinking to normalise my aging. They said after that I should age normally but, they thought there could be some complications caused by puberty.” She let out a small chuckle. “Looks like they were right. This morning I was absolutely starving and must have ate through enough food for three peolple when suddenly” she gestured at herself “This happened. Everything seem a bit smaller and I’m still getting use to the image in the mirror.”

She brushed a long stand of red hair out of her line of vision. “So what’s the verdict? Has these growth spurts stopped now?” She looked at him quizzically.

After he looked over her scans he pondered for a moment. "Well, I cannot honestly say. However, I would like to observe you for a few days. Please where this..." Michael affixed a monitor to her neck. "It will send your vital signs and hormone levels to the Sick Bay computer. I would also like to take a blood sample for evaluation with your permission of course. Finally and the icing on the cake is I am going to give you a dose of a growth inhibitor which should slow things down while we figure this out. How does that all sound?"

“You’re the Doc, Doc” Sansa replied with a smile. “This is going to take some getting use to so I’d be glad if it didn’t happen again. I know my dad is coming for a visit. I haven’t met him in person yet. He was assigned to a deep space mission before I was born.”

She held out her arm for the Doctor to take the blood sample. “He likes fishing apparently. Mom tells me he’s being trying to catch this spiny fish for like forever.”

She rubbed her arm where the hypospray had been. “Will there be anything else?”

For a moment Michael was going to say that she was free to go and then something occurred to him. Something that he wondered if any other doctor had ever asked this girl with a medical abnormality. "Tell me Sansa. How do you feel?" He wanted to gauge her response and see how far along her development was mentally.

Sansa looked inward for a moment. “I feel fine. I mean right after I shot up I was exhausted and slept for ages. Also I’ve noticed my emotions are a bit..... all over the place. I got really angry with Mom for no reason. I seem to cry at the drop of a hat sometimes. Overall I think I’m ok.” She suddenly frowned. “Apart from non of my clothes fit me anymore.”

Michael smiled as he placed the blood sample onto the cart. "That is good. Emotions running rampant are normal for someone of your age but if they get to be too much I want you to know that Counselor Miller is available should you wish to speak with her. If your health changes in any way please make sure that you tell your mother and myself right away. Any change could lead us to a method to stop these spurts permanently. As for right now I think we are in the clear."

“Caroline? Sure thing. She’s my godmother. I’ve already got an appointment to see her.” Sana’a swung her legs off the bed and hopped down. “Thanks Doc. I’m off to the transporter room. My dads beaming aboard soon.” She added with a grin that made her look younger.

“I’ll see you.......” Her voice trailer off. A young ensign had walked in nursing an injured arm. Sansa was just stood, staring at him.

The young man with strawberry blond hair was in obvious pain was suddenly forgotten when he saw the red haired girl. “Doctor Ki.” He finally managed to get out “I think I’ve dislocated my shoulder.” He looked at Sansa and managed a smiled through the pain. “H h hello. You’re new here?”

Why yes. I’m Sansa. I’m sorry you’ve hurt your arm. I’m sure Doctor Ki will be able to fix you up in no time.

This is what Sansa has said in her head. It turns out that she had said none of this out loud and had just stood there, her checks slowly turning a similar shade to her hair.

After a very pregnant pause she managed to get out quickly and quietly “Hellohopeyou’refeelingbettersoonthankyoudoctor.” And quickly made a dash out of sickbay.

The young man suddenly remembered he was in considerable pain and winced before looking back to Ki. “Who was that?”

Michael smiled at Sansa as she hopped off the biobed. "I would like to see you back here in about a week little lady, just to see how things are progressing." Michael watched curiously as Sansa looked at the new arrival, it seemed that something unspoken passed between the two. The Ensign's question brought Michael back to the here and now. "Ensign if I was you I would not trouble yourself with who that was. That is unless you want the Chief of Security to put you here with a lot more than a dislocated shoulder. Now tell me how the heck this happened." He smiled as he began to set the shoulder back to it's proper position.
