ON:

“Well,” Caroline lounged on her sunbed sipping a very colourful glass. “I have to say I think this was a good idea. This Risan heart drink is just the ticket. How's yours?” She asked Bree.

"This was a really good idea. I haven't actually ever been here before..." Bree said before taking a slow sip of her drink. "I was going to head home... but that got veto'ed by my parents for some reason." Not that she really needed their permission on what she did, it was more that she was restless at times for home, family and her best friend. She didn't want to admit that it'd been a hard blow to get the resounding no at the mere mention of heading home for shore leave. With a slow stretch, she looked around as she relaxed and took in the scenery before her.

Caroline listened and nodded. "You miss home. I understand. Risa is always a fun distraction. And great weather, beautiful beaches. Amazing restaurants and people. Ive been a few times. I'm more than happy to show you some good places. In fact I am showing Dr Ki a couple as well."

She took another sip of her drink sighed happily and sat up further adjusting her bikini top. "This is a good distraction. But I really need to be thinking about getting some more counselors on the ship. Theres far too many people for just me to help."

"A tour sounds good to me... and no thinking about work right now." Bree said with a playful scowl. "Otherwise I'm going to end up sitting here wondering how the repairs are going on the ship and hoping they don't forget the adjustments they are supposed to make. As it is I think I forgot to tell them about the quirky replicator in 10 foreward."

"Seriously Breezy, you two are on Risa with sun and hot guys around you and all you can do it talk about work!?!" Came the way to cheerful voice of a nicely tanned woman as she headed over to them. Speaking of guys, she was clearly getting some looks as she passed by a few, though one could tell she was used to the looks as she gave a light playful toss of her dark hair.

"Zoey!!!" Bree said as she came flying up out of her chair to grab her best friend in a hug. "What are you doing here? Is this why I was told not to come home? How long are you here for??" A whole line of questions in her mind as she looked to Zory, releasing her from that hug. "Ohh.... This is Caroline, Commander Miller on the ship." She said with a smile as she motioned to Caroline.

"All questions that can be answered later, cause you're stuck with me for quite a while." She told Bree before settling down on the lounge chair with her. "And howdy" Zoey said as she offered Caroline a hand.

"Howdy," Caroline smiled shaking her hand. "Please call me Caroline. We are firmly off duty. Lets get you a drink," she waved her had at one of the bar staff signaling him over.

"I think we need another round and whatever Zoey here fancies," the blond told him. "And," she was beginning to feel the effects of the alcohol, they needed to soak some of it up if they kept this pace up. "Can we have a mixture of bar snacks please? To share, surprise us," she grinned at him.

"I'll take a Chocolate Obsession." Zoey said with a bold playful wink at the bartender before looking back to Caroline with a slight cant of her head. Then, learning towards Bree she responded to one of the earlier questions. "Yes, I'm the reason you didn't get to go home this trip. You missed the last visit to Risa so I told your folks we really needed this get away before settling into ship life again, Well at least for me, and they agreed. And don't worry I bought you a package from home."

Almost without skipping a beat Zoey continued as she looked back to Caroline. "I know you, I'm pretty sure... that or you have a twin."

Bree leaned back with a slight chuckle and shake of her head. She was used to her friends randomness at times and saved the rest of her questions for later. Now though, she glanced over to her newer friend curiously.

The blond didn't panic in any way. "I'm a published doctor and one of the founders in the Flox aid movement. Maybe that? And I'm also a counselor. I went back to the Federation academy for a couple of years and did a bridging course to switch professions. Although I still keep my medical licence up to date. Maybe you saw me around San Francisco? Hang on … actually you do look familiar as well. What's your surname Zoey?"

"Garcia. And yes, I spent some time in San Francisco, did some schooling myself there for counseling." Zoey gave a glance over to Breana a moment with this subject. She'd gone off to become a counselor during Bree's darkest time in hopes to better understand what her friend needed and how to help. In the end, Bree had needed her as nothing more then just a friend and because of that she'd put the counselling part of her aside and enjoyed life as a bartender. Then again, bartenders seemed to be nothing more then a cheep counselor.... a slight quirky smile caught her with that thought as she looked back at Caroline.

"Are you using your counselling qualification?" Caroline asked guessing that was a no. And this was a real curve ball to throw but she was desperate for staff and anyone who was friends with Bree she knew she could trust … so she would chance it. "As I have several openings onboard the Merlin right now …. you know. If you were interested. Something to think about," she winked at her. This was an alignment of the cosmos in her view.

"Only in the bartending capacity" Zoey said with a laugh, a twinkle in her steely grey eyes, before she got serious as she glanced between the two of them. "I figured to have a position like that I would have to be... like... enlisted or an officer." She glanced between them once more. "I mean, sure.... I suppose that might be a little better then being a glorified bartender."

Breana listened quietly now as she sipped on her drink. She'd known well why her friend had become a counselor, she also knew that while her friend enjoyed working at the bar... she offered a lot of free help to some of the more regulars that came in. Clearly Bree knew her friend missed doing that and she smiled and gave a little nod of her head that she should do it.

"There is nothing wrong with the noble art that is bar tending," Caroline said seriously. She had known a few diamond bar tenders in her time. " I can set you on as a civilian counselor. Or if you want to enlist I can talk to the Captain and we get something in place. We are here for a couple more days so take some time to think and let me know," she smiled at her. She didn't want Zoey to feel pressured.

"I'll probably take you up on you're offer, though not so sure about the enlisted thing... I'll let you know on that one, thinking that might take a lot more fanciness then what I want." Zoey said with a grin before lifting her glass for a drink. "Lets chill out though and we can talk more about things like that later, we are missing some good eye candy." She added with a nod towards a group of guys that weren't to far off.

Bree had already noticed the eye candy and only smirked a little hearing Zoey. Sipping her drink and relaxing was clearly something she needed and was soaking it all in. "Fanciness..." She muttered with a little shake of her head.

"I don't know," Caroline mused commenting on the guys. "They seem a little young."

And far to happy she laughed inwardly. Apparently she was missing a grumpy older doctor. That information she decided to keep to herself.

"You both need to meet those guys," she said evilly getting up and walking over. She had a conversation with one of them and then brought him and a friend back in toe. "Ladies I'd love you to meet J'Evan and Lokin."

The blonds eyes sparkled, "Let me go sort out some drinks for you gentlemen. Please keep my friends company." The blond shimmied off.

Oh, she was so going to have to get Caroline back for this later. Bree thought to herself with a little smirk, although she had to admit she'd likely been to chicken to approach the guys herself. Her gaze roaming over them a moment as she listened to Zoey jump at the chance to flirt with the approaching guys. Trying not to drown her drink as Lokin moved over and sat down next to her to strike up a conversation Breana smiled and let herself get pulled into the conversations going on.
