ON:

Caroline called for Bree a couple of minutes late from the time she had sent her in the message cryptically "I'm taking you out tonight."

Great, just what she didn't want at the moment, a night out. But, then again it might be a good thing for her, she had either been working or crashing in bed. With the message to go out, she'd slipped on some form fitting jeans, a white t-shirt. Slipping on her favourite cowboy boots she ran a brush through her hair as she made her way towards the door. Tossing the brush on the couch as she joined Caroline at the door with a 'what's up' look on her face. "We are going out?"

"To be honest it's blowing away cobwebs and a little help to get a couple of others out their shell on my part. I'm introducing you to an old friend Anya who needs to get out and meet some more people and you know Fay ... erm Fay/Sansa. Well, it's a great opportunity for her to see more people and more things. So I thought girls night with a list of different things to all tryout," she smiled at the other lady. "Come on. I need you out of quarters before I drop anything else on you."

Groaning softly with the idea of going to hang out with other people... in public. Movie and popcorn in her quarters would have been more pleasing to her. "Be good Snowball." She called to the cat who was enjoying a twig of catnip. Something she would have to pick up more of when they got back to earth. Perhaps a plant at that. For some reason, she just couldn't seem to get the replicator to copy the good stuff it seemed. As she stepped out, the door closed behind her and she looked at her friend with an evil eye.

Caroline had figured Bree wouldn't be best pleased about her ordered therapy but this reaction was interesting. "It's done now. It's happening. I'll be there too," she told her. "And it will do you both the world of good. Get him out of his stubbornness too," she told her while they walked around a couple of corridors to the next pick up.

"If you say so, though I really hope there might be something decently strong to drink tonight then." Breana added that last part with a slight smirk.

Pressing the bell, Caroline waited for Anya to appear.

The door slipped open as Anya approached it from the opposite side, her uniform put aside in favour of something a little more free flowing and comfortable.
"Commander... What brings you here at this hour?"

"We are kidnapping you and taking you on a girls night," Caroline said simply. "Call it payback for spilling that story to the Captain about the bottle of Tequila, the naked Tellarite and the watermelon," the blond grinned widely at her friend.

"Anya, this is Bree. Bree, Anya. And if you want to know more about that story we will need to find something stronger. Or you just need to stick with Anya here," she said.

"A pleasure Bree... Is that not some form of strongly smelling cheese on Earth? A nickname? I am still very unsure what constitutes a joke or genuine and serious in your Human culture".
It was not until after she had voiced her train of thought that she realised she had done it again. "My apologies. I also tend to forget myself and run off at tangents without really considering what I am saying!"

"No apologies needed. And Bree is a nickname, just as is Breezy. Names actually Breana." She said with a smile as she looked at the others there. "So, what are we going to do on this girls night out? And are the drinks strong and ready to flow?"

"A very good question!" Anya looked to Caroline, waiting expectantly for more details.

"Well they can be," Caroline answered. "There are a few things going on around the ship tonight. I thought seen as though Fayes joining us and Anya you really need bringing out of your shell a little more we could check things out. Talking of Faye, she's our next stop. You ready there Anya?"

"As long as this attire is suitable I am ready to go" she opened her arms wide so her white dress could be assessed by the other two women. "I can get changed if not!"

"Well I think you look fabulous," Caroline grinned. "Come on," she stepped aside to let her out the door. "You too Breezy. Let's go grab the last of our party."

The blond led them down to the quarters Sansa was staying in with Faye and pressed the last chime.

The door opened and Fay's eyes went wide at the trio of women stood at her door. "Good evening ladies... Ah Yes, Caroline mentioned something about a girls night? I take it this is it? Sansa seems eager to go so yes, by all means." She came out into the corridor to join the others.

"Okay, where do you want to do?" Caroline asked. "This evening there is a poetry evening, some of the marines are having a game of American football I believe in the holodeck and its open for spectators, there's a cooking demo and a band are headlining at the Medusas head." She put it open to the girl's discussion

A look at Faye and remembering her telling her what had occurred with Mathias made the blond secretly hope no one wanted the poetry as if they were going to run into him anywhere it was likely there.

"I would suggest Medusa's Head for the band... A body like mine is built to dance!" The Benzite women teased knowing that most humanoid species did not see her race the most attractive.

Fay spoke, "Since this is a new experience for me, I'm happy to go along with what you all want to do."

"Anything but poetry." Bree replied with a shake of her head as she smiled looking to the others. "I'm thinking the band idea sounds good to me also."

"Well that's settled then," Caroline said. "This way ladies to the Round Table."

"So the bands called the Slapping Kimono's," Caroline told them trying to keep a straight face at the name. "Then do a mix of genres some earth rock and roll but the bassist did tell me earlier they sometimes cover Klingon opera."

She led them into the lounge and to a table finding one not too close to the stage so they could still hear each other talk. A waiter came over. "Good evening ladies. The bands going to be about 10 minutes. Can I sort you some drinks?"

Fay frowned for a moment as she listened to Sansa in her head before saying ” I’m afraid my knowledge of drinks is limited but Sansa is suggesting an ice tea from somewhere called Long Island?”

"Tell Sansa, only if its synthehol. Do you know how much alcohol is in one of those?" Caroline asked. "I do not want to have to carry you home and explain what happened to your father."

Fay listened to Sansa's response. "Sansa agrees to your terms, Caroline."

”Sansa is wise, ” Caroline commented.

”I'll take my usual, ” she smiled at the waiter.

”And for you two ladies?”

"Double Aldebaran Whiskey and a shot of Klingon Tequila please!" she looked at the other women in the group with a deadpan expression. "I'll start off with the lighter stuff and work up to party girl mode!"

"Margarita on the rocks, make it a double shot of Tequila" Breana said with a grin, she was more than ready to enjoy this night out.

"Coming right up ladies," the waiter said disappearing to the bar.

"So how are we all then?" Caroline asked keeping an eye watching the man excitably make her Sumerian sunrise at the bar.

Bree shrugged a little "Alright, I guess." The outing, while something she likely needed, seemed to almost bring out a shyness in her that one didn't see often. After all, on duty she was out there and ready to face the world. But off duty, it had become something different. The comfort of her room seemed to be a safe place anymore and she didn't quite catch that slight sig that slipped from her. Quickly, she covered it up with a smile as she glanced around to the others. "What about with you all?"

Anya cast a sly glance at Caroline, had she intended this to be a Counselling session. Was it meant for everyone in the group or were they the beard to hide her intention.
"I'm just here to meet new people and become inebriated!"

Caroline caught her friends glance. Damn was she always on to her. Can't a counselor kill two birds with one stone? Enjoy a night out with her friends and find out if they were okay?

"Well I still haven't heard anything from Ki so I decided to close that chapter and put myself back on the market," she shared as the waiter pilled his tray and brought their drinks.

Fay sat listening to how the other females were interacting. "I must say, I find this very interesting. We do not have anything like alcohol on my planet," she commented when there was a lull in the conversation.

"Wow! I cannot imagine that. Okay you're going to love this," the blonde handed Faye the little spoon. "Just go like that," she indicated tapping it, "And watch. It's stunning. What do you eat and drink then?"

Fay took the spoon and tapped the side of the glass which started turning vibrant shades of orange and red. A sunset in a glass.

“That is quite remarkable.” Fay said as she watched, then took a sip of her own drink. “It has an.... Unique taste.”

Anya had already finished her Klingon Tequila and was now swinging away on the whisky she had ordered, her body moving as if by reflex to the pounding music beats. Her toe-tapping, hips ready to break loose and really enjoy the moment.

"Well I do not know about the rest of you but I'm going over there and I intend to dance until I'm sick!"

The tequila had been a little stronger than she remembered from her nights out with Caroline back in the academy days. She pulled herself from the seat and moved directly over to the dance floor, undecidedly free of inhibitions and she let loose.

"She means that, believe me," Caroline smiled.

The band started moving in instruments looking amused that someone was already up dancing and there was no music. Caroline reached over and sniffed both empty glasses Anya had left. She had mixed her drinks. Caroline had visions of having to sweet talk the band into helping her carry the Benzite back to her quarters. "Have you danced before Faye?" she asked. "Do you do that on your planet?"

"If not then you should!" Anya shouted from the corner of the dance floor she was inhabiting, most giving her a wide berth given the undulating and lashing of limbs she was enjoying, even if the music was still absent. A waitress moved by, a tray of blue drinks smouldering with some kind of fog... Anya scooped one up and downed it before returning to her undulations.

“Anya, ” Caroline said seriously with a wicked grin. “I am not carrying you home!”

"I'm not either!" Breana called out as she grabbed one of those new drinks and downed it herself. She hadn't let loose in a long time and decided to make the best of this evening. While it wasn't country music, she'd gone out enough with Zoey before to pick up the whole dancing stuff. And headed out to join the others on the dance floor.

Seeing the others dancing, Fay looked slightly lost. She let Sansa take over. "Hey Caroline, Fay is... a bit out of her depth here so she is happy to sit back and watch for a while. Sansa headed over to the dance floor and joined the others. "Hey..." She greeted Breana and Anya.

Caroline nodded. "Well when Rome," she muttered knocking back her own shot. She watched them for a moment all cutting loose and relaxing. At least she had managed to help that happen. She knew damn well though she would be carrying Anya back.
