Sansa had thoroughly enjoyed the days skiing activity and she and Hayley had returned to their chalet. After the comments made by Draxx, Sansa was keen to show that her cooking skills had improved. Once inside, she drew Hayley into her arms and kissed her. "Right then Sweetie, I want you to go and have a nice relaxing shower and I'll take care of dinner. I've got a nice stew planned out. I shall call you when it's ready, ok?"
The memory of Draxx's words echoed around her mind, but couldn't help but be swept up in Sansa's infectious positivity. She'd been absolutely radiant since Hayley had agreed for them to live together, having been both more affectionate and trying to be more domestic too. In fact, Sansa had really come along since her partnering with Faye, leaving Hayley to wonder whether after all they'd gone through, it had been a good thing for both Sansa and their relationship. At the time, it really hadn't, but with the benefit of hindsight... who knows...
"Mmm... alright..." She said, her tone wavering slightly. "Just try not to burn the cabin down. I really don't want to be rescued in my birthday suit, as appealing as that sight might be to you, I'm not ready for the world to see it." She grinned and gave Sansa a loving kiss, then an affectionate goose on her butt.
Sansa jumped slightly. "Oi! Plenty of time for that later Sweetie. You go and enjoy your shower. I'll get dinner ready, and maybe some dessert for afterwards if you're lucky." she added with a wink before she headed for the kitchen area. She called over her shoulder "Plus. if you're getting rescued in your birthday suit, I'll be left in the snow somewhere!"
Unbeknownst to Hayley or Draxx, Sansa had been taking some lessons from Melody before she was joined with Fay. Fay had another positive influence, as she had been fascinated with the human preoccupation with food, had enjoyed helping Sansa prepare different meals each night. Sansa had actually tried several new things that she never would have tried otherwise, and now... she was really going to impress Hayley.
Meanwhile, Hayley stood under the rain-shower in the bathroom, enjoying the feeling of the hot water cascading over her. Her mind floated back to how much Sansa was trying to do for her and it made her ponder how to pay her back. Whilst she enjoyed being pampered by the woman she loved, it had to be reciprocal else Hayley wouldn't feel right about it. Ideas and plans made their way to the forefront of her mind and allowing a playful smile across her face, she knew how to pay Sansa back.
As well as some lessons, Melody had given Sansa a PADD with notes and several recipes on to try and Sansa had picked something that, while relatively simple to prepare, was supposed to taste fantastic. She had asked that the kitchen be stocked with plenty of fresh vegetables and she set about preparing them and adding them to a pot. The meat, while replicated, still had to be prepared. She had picked a warming game stew.
Sansa had asked the computer to play some soft classical music in the background while she chopped the carrots and mushrooms. There was also onions, thyme, bacon rashers, juniper berries, redcurrant jelly, and a good glug of red wine. Melody had said that a good chef always poured a glass of wine for themselves while cooking and Sansa had done just that and she was relaxing, singing along to the music.
Finishing up in the shower, Hayley quietly replicated something before she threw on black lycra shorts and a red t-shirt. Using skills of stealth long practised in the service of her government, Hayley snuck up behind Sansa and wrapped her arms around her waist, drawing her head next to Sansa's and kissed her cheek. "Planning on sharing that?" She teased, as she gyrated against Sansa to the beat of the music.
"Hey, you. Done already?" She paused as she felt safe in Hayley's arms and moved her hips in time with hers. "Of course, there is a glass for you over there and there is another bottle ready to be opened." She indicated to the other table where she had already poured Hayley a glass.
She spun around and allowed herself a dance around for a moment. "I'm almost done here. It's going to take about 30 minutes before this is ready so why don't you get comfortable in the living room and I'll have a quick shower and freshen up myself. Then we'll eat. I also asked them to make sure there is a wide selection of those old romantic films you like to watch available so we can snuggle under that big blanket and you can pick tonights entertainment."
Giving Sansa a knowing look, Hayley replied; "You've thought of everything for our date, haven't you?"
"Of course." She replied and gave her a quick kiss. "This has to simmer now so you pick the movie and get comfortable and I'll be back shortly." As she slipped past, she goosed her affectionately back.
Hayley let out a small playful squeak, grinning as they finished the song together, Hayley moved over to the living room to check out the movie collection whilst Sansa was off in the bathroom. Whoever Sansa had spoken to whilst stocking the cabin clearly hadn't understood the request all that well, giving Hayley a moment's amusement at some of the film choices available; "Oh wow... 'The Vulcan who loved me'... really? 'Orion Slave Seduction'?" She openly laughed. "Oh honey, I appreciate what you tried to do, but I don't think the guy understood you very well..." She laughed as 'Klingon Battle Slaves' appeared on the menu. "I honestly wish I'd seen the guy's face when he interpreted what you were asking for..." She laughed to herself. "What would your dad say if he heard you'd ordered 'Federation's Hottest Sluts 5'... Still, it's a very impressive porn collection..."
Sansa was already in the shower and the luxurious spray of hot water was already making it difficult to hear what Hayley was saying to her. She did hear the last sentence. She called back over the water. "That's for later Sweetie..... try the other directory called romantic films." then stuck her head back under the shower, giggling to herself leaving Hayley to ponder if she had been joking or not...
Why on Earth they'd need porno films when they had one another was beyond her understanding, and she was pretty sure some of them were actually illegal, like "Tal'Shiar Mind Orgy", but she did as she was bid and checked the other folder. Sure enough, there were some classic soppy films, even a couple of Disney films had somehow ended up in there, like Up!, which she supposed had some romantic elements to it at the beginning...
Upon getting out of the shower, Sansa elected to wear a simple cream coloured dress that fastened with a ribbon around the middle. She left her hair down and padded quietly back into the living room. "I'll check on dinner, but it should be ready now. Do you see anything you like?" She asked as she leaned over, resting her elbows on the back of the sofa and her face in her palms.
Schooching up on the couch to face Hayley, she grinned and leaned in to plant a soft kiss on Sansa's lips. "Stupid question." She answered, tapping her playfully on the nose. "But if you mean movies, I found a couple we could enjoy." She said, sitting back on the sofa. "But I'm anticipating this dinner you've cooked first and foremost..."
"Coming right up." She booped Hayley playfully on the nose and standing, turned and headed into the kitchen area
Standing to head towards the dining area, Hayley couldn't help but catch a glimpse at Sansa's behind. Was she not wearing underwear? Hayley chuckled to herself at the thought.
Sansa returned firstly with the second wine bottle and her glass which she had refilled and set it down. She refilled Hayley's glass and placing the bottle on the table. She then headed back into the kitchen area. Next to come out was a loaf of fresh bread. One last trip into the kitchen and she returned with two bowels of game stew that smelled, surprisingly, really good. Sansa set one of the bowls in front of Hayley.
"Here you go, I hope you enjoy it. I haven't told you yet but mom was giving me some cooking lessons and Fay helped out. She enjoyed trying new foods, in fact, she insisted on trying several new things that I wouldn't have considered."
"Well, this ought to be interesting then," Hayley said, picking up a spoon from beside the bowl and taking a spoonful of the stew, blowing on it gently, then popping it in her mouth. The flavours were divine! She could taste all the flavourings, the gameyness of the meat, the tang of the after-taste. It was amazing! "Holy..." Hayley gasped once she'd swallowed it. "Sansa..."
Sansa allows herself a small smile. "So you like it?" She asked before taking a spoonful herself. It was really good.
"It's amazing!" She exclaimed, looking at her in delight. "This is the best stew I've ever had in my life! That's no exaggeration either! You're really something special, you know that? Best decision of my life was to ask you out, God Damn... you know what they say, find a gal who can cook, clean and scream..." She stopped for a second and then giggled. "Sorry... old Earth expression..." She took another spoonful of the phenomenal stew and enjoyed the second serving as much as the first.
Sansa had to force herself not a laugh as she would have probably choked. Not an easy task. She managed to swallow the stew first before letting herself laugh at Hayley's statement. "I'm glad you like it." She picked up her wine glass "Cheers Sweetie."
"Cheers baby girl." Hayley smiled and they chinked glasses together before drinking. This was what being in a relationship should be like! The warm companionship, the feeling of bliss and joy at being in one another's company. There just was no substitute for it. Even in the twenty-fourth century, it wasn't easy to form a same-sex relationship, but she'd managed to woo Sansa to her side. For that small piece of luck, she would forever be grateful to the universe and the guardians of grace.
Sansa finished her bowel fairly quickly. Hayley was right, the stew was really really good. "Would you like some more?" Sansa asked as she finished pouring what was left in the wine bottle into their glasses. "There some left in the pan. Also, have you picked something for us to watch?"
Having demolished hers quite quickly, she nodded at the offer for seconds whilst she enjoyed a slice of the fresh bread with a slather of real butter. "Yes, I have." Hayley responded. "You've got a choice; 'Love Actually' or 'The Notebook'."
"You pick Sweetie. Just let me clear up and I'll be right with you." Sansa said as she picked up the now empty bowls and took them back into the kitchen.
Sansa came back and went over to the fireplace. Tapping a few buttons on the side it immediately roared into life and settle down to a romantic glow. From a nearby cupboard, she picked out a quite heavy and plush blanket which she brought over and after making sure their wine was within reach on the table, pulled the blanket over both of them which covered them both with a generous amount to spare.
Sansa snuggled up to Hayley. "Have you decided what we're watching? Oh, hang on a minute..." Sansa disappeared underneath the blanket. There was a lot of shuffling and after a few moments, a hand emerged and deposited Sansa's dress on the floor. Sansa's head then reappeared above the blanket. "Ready." She said with a grin.
"Oh!" Hayley exclaimed, then giggled. "Well, if that's what we're doing, hang on a sec!" She got out from under the blanket and disappeared into the bedroom for a moment, then came back and climbed under the blanket again, but carrying a bundle wrapped in a towel. There was some wiggling under the blanket and a red t-shirt, a black pair of shorts and a pink pair of panties shot out onto the floor to join Sansa's dress. Hayley's head popped out from under the blanket and she snuggled up next to Sansa again. She grinned up at the vivacious redhead with a cheeky look on her face. "I did pick out 'Love Actually' but I am secretly wondering if you really did intend for us to watch the other playlist..."
Sansa just gave her one of her mysterious smiles. "You know I can't give away all my secrets Sweetie. That sounds wonderful." She gave her a kiss before snuggling into a comfortable position, gently stroking a lock of Hayley's hair. "Ready when you are my love."
"Computer, play 'Love Actually' and reduce lighting to ten percent." Hayley said, as the lights dimmed and the TV started playing the classic British Rom-Com, Hayley wrapped her arms around Sansa and drew her so that their faces were pressed together. "This is how it should always be..."
