Melody entered her ready room, followed by Anya. She sat down on her sofa and indicated for her to sit also. “So, you’ve talked to the CMO on the Andromeda. What did he tell you?” Melody ask cautiously, not wanting to make the situation worse but also wanting the Doctor to have the correct version of the truth.

Anya took the seat as indicated, lacing her fingers together and she cupped her knees. She tried to recall the conversation she had with C'Tora, if not completely accurate then she could at least fill in the broad strokes.
"He informed me that this Mirror version of Amelia Fox forcibly removed 'his' seed. Putting two and two together and having checked the records I can see that Commander Fox is attached to a Vulcan Male so I can only surmise that she took his genetic information or spermatozoa and impregnated herself!"


Melody sighed, then looked her in the eyes, deadly serious. "What I'm about to tell you does not leave this room, understood?"

"Understood!" the Benzite said, leaning back slightly in the chair wondering where else this little mystery might be heading. She had two mysteries to try and solve and so far both had been twisting and turning enough to make her think they could be leading to things far grander than she had originally believed.

Melody moved closer, keeping her voice low, even though they were the only two in the room. "MU Fox infiltrated the USS Andromeda posing at the XO who she had kidnapped and imprisoned. Now, her temperament and her actions while onboard led to her being discovered and ultimately captured but she had free reign of the ship for several days before that happened."

Anya continued listening intently hoping this might at least lead to something considerably closer to an answer than she had been at up until this point.

"One of the crew that she... picked out for special treatment was Syvar. This was before Amelia and Syvar got together and it's in stopping him from disobeying orders and returning to her once she had been captured that Syavr and Amelia became an item and fell in love. She placed an agoniser device in him in order to coerce him into doing what she wanted which included getting information and supplies and...." she paused and took a deep breath, "pleasuring her...." She let that last statement hang in the air hoping the doctor would realize what she meant by that.

"So it was actually insemination through natural means... that should make the birth a little easier on the infant at least!" the nuances of romantic relationships and the way this small tidbit of information could irrevocably change the status of the relationship of the two lost on the Benzite completely.

"Natural?" Melody scoffed. "That woman physically and psychologically traumatized that man and it's only thought the love of a good woman that he's been able to heal." She realized she's overstepped and took a breath. "I'm sorry, I know I'm meant to be impartial and we're going to try and rehabilitate MU Fox... it's just.... Amelia is my close friend and I'm the one who had to tell them about MU Fox's baby. Amelia has told me that Syavr wants to raise the child as theirs, he doesn't want MU Fox anywhere near him or his family, which is understandable. Amelia is also pregnant."

"My apologies Captain. Sometimes the intricacies of other humanoid relationships and the dynamics within them elude me. Benzite relationships are so much simpler. The female lays around a thousand eggs and the male has to fertilise them. Only one or two will survive and the male knows when she is in heat because her ganglia turn a stronger shade of pink..." Anya saw the captain's icy stare. "Which in this instance is not relevant or appropriate to be discussing!"

Melody looked at her for a moment. "A thousand eggs you say?" She looked down at her own stomach which was just starting to show her growing bump. "Well, I didn't have any colours changing ganglia but those injections that Caroline has to whip up so that my babies would age naturally turned me into a sex-crazed wild woman. Draxx couldn't believe his luck." She then managed a chuckle, releasing the tension in the room. "It's quite alright Doctor. Yes, human relationships can be very complicated." Her eyes went wide as she realised what she had said. "That too is not be repeated for obvious reasons."

"I do believe that most humans agree that relationships are complicated... I'm not sure I would need to keep that quiet!"
Once again a slight sense of confusion falling around the Benzite... had she missed something again or was this a repeat of the Ogre situation?

Melody put her head into her hands for a moment. Then looked at the Doctor. "Anya.... Don't ever change."
