Mission: A Cry from the Darkness

Captains log supplemental: All the Mercenaries have been rounded up and are currently enjoy our hospitality in our brig. Security is still trying to get information out of them as to the whereabouts of Mirror Fox. Our Doctor has successfully inoculated the entire colony and the crew against the desire and I have reported this to Starfleet Command. All our people are back on board, now we have to find Caroline. We've finally managed to find the warp signature of the ship that took her. We will be leaving orbit shortly to begin the hunt.

Melody was sat in the centre seat, eager to get underway. "Helm, we'll be following the warp signature. Science will provide the heading. Best possible speed but, we might be travelling a while, so don't overtax the warp drive. Understood?"

Sav was very pleased that in the briefing with Caroline she had decided to send out the Talons to track ship warp signatures, not knowing that was going to come in handy to track Caroline with whoever took her. She answered Melody with a very serious tone, unusual for her. "Understood Sir." Then, in a softer tone, she said, "We'll find her, Captain."

Melody placed her hand on Sav's shoulder and responded quietly "We will." and offered a supportive smile.

The turbolift had deposited Anya on the bridge as requested. She only had the inoculation reports for the crew, something she could have submitted across the computer but she had decided to visit the bridge and see the goings on as it had been a quiet day in sickbay. She moved across the bridge to the command centre which had three chairs nestled within it. The Captains, The First officers and the one usually reserved for the Counselor. She paused a moment just to think about Caroline and what she may have gotten herself into before directing herself to the Captain.

"Inoculation reports captain" she said offering the PADD with the data. "I thought I might exercise my privilege to be on the bridge for a while... if that suits you?"

"By all means Doctor." Melody replied, indicating the vacant chair. "You can keep it warm for Commander Miller."

Anya smiled as she perched in Caroline's chair, feeling a little uncomfortable to start with but then realising why Caroline was so protective of her chair on the bridge... Anya needed one of these in her office!

Gregor had finished testing all Tactical and Security systems at his station and was satisfied with the results. He was a bit surprised to see the CMO on the bridge, which was unusual to say the least. Which also reminded him he was almost overdue for his annual physical, perhaps he'd get around to it after this mission was complete.

While waiting for the Science officer to give her the heading, Sav checked the Flight Control Ops log and saw the Talons were resupplied and ready to launch in their cradles. She called out to Melody, "Captain, Helm, Flight Control reports the Talons are ready, on Hot Standby, and ready to launch when needed in sniffing out the trail."

"Thank you, Commander."

Mathias arrived on the bridge, moving towards his Ops station. He was glad they were prepared on their way to go find Caroline. His hair seemed to be a bit more awry.

Having made two stops before arriving, Miles stepped onto the bridge with an insulated cup and a padd in his hands. Miles looked around at all the new faces and nodded. "Good morning everyone." Stepping towards Melody he hands her the cup, "Chef said you hadn't eaten this morning. He said he whipped you something up, carrot juice with vitamins I think. It smells good, and it's cold." Once he's handed the drink off he hands her the padd. "Some success from my foray to Stellar Cartography. When we aren't running and have time to take a break the lads and I have found several interesting stellar events that would be nice to observe, and some nebula's to explore." With everything handed off Miles moves to his own station and wakes it up.


Melody accepted the drink from Rejal. " Thank you number one, that's very kind of you. Once we've got Commander Miller back onboard, we can be explorers once again." she added with a grin. She sat down in the Captain's chair. "Ok helm. Let's break orbit and go hunting."

Sav checked the repeater display from Sciences. She churred lightly as the display lit up with the heading. As she stroked over the panel, those coordinates showed up on the helm course input. "I have received the coordinates. Heading out system now, Sir." The ship shifted away from the planet and began shifting into a corridor that was far enough away from planetary gravity interference to go into warp. "Approaching Warp point in five, four, three, two, one, Warp."

The ship entered warp and began speeding up. Sav called out, "Warp 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7. Holding Steady at Warp Seven, reconfigured Gaseous anomaly sensors rigged for tracking our prey's warp signature, signal holding strong, engines showing steady."

Gregor stood looking at the forward viewscreen. " Captain, Tactical stations standing by for your command. Would you like me to inform Security and Marines to stand by for boarding party duty when we catch up with the ship?"

Melody nodded. "Good idea Lieutenant. Make the necessary preparations."

"Captain" Anya pitched in, noticing the Captain had not taken much heed of the PADD before her. "May I suggest you review the reports... you may find something of interest from the USS Andromeda!"
She smiled, keeping her tone light so as not to tip of the rest of the bridge crew.

Melody started to read the PADD that Anya had handed her. She reached the part the Doctor was referring to and she stopped. After a moment, she nodded. Her posture stiffened slightly but she kept her tone neutral. She turned and locked eyes with Anya. "Thank you Doctor, That's interesting. I think we should go over those figures in detail in my ready room shortly."

Gregor finished tapping in the commands at his station. " Captain, Both Marine and security boarding parties are ready to go at your command. All phasers have been set to stun with orders to bring back all persons of interest for questioning. "

"Thank you Lieutenant." Melody thought for a moment before standing. "Number one, you have the bridge. Let me know the moment we find something. Doctor, will you join me in my ready room?"

Miles stood up and gave Melody a slight bow, "Yes Captain."

Anya stood and moved along with Captain Jones, nodding a goodbye to Commander Rejal before she went.

Seeing Anya's nod, Miles grinned back at her, "Don't let her forget to drink that carrot juice Doctor. I don't want Chef mad at me for not following his orders."

Mathias glanced over towards where Anya and Melody were. He frowned slightly then turned his attention back to the console in front of him.

Once Melody and Anya were ensconced in the Ready Room, Rejal began to prowl the bridge. Though nodding and smiling, Miles's mood was far from happy. Making his way over to Mathias he nodded, "How's the arm feeling, I haven't had a chance to check up on you since our discussion with the Captain."

Mathias looked at Miles. "It will be alright I will need to get it checked on later today. Thank you for asking though." Giving the XO a bit of a smile.
