ON:
Sav was sitting down in the waiting area just outside of the very busy Engineering Ship Coordination Center. There were several vessels in for repairs and refits while crews were on shoreleave. Since Risa was usually a time of being on planet for a month, scheduled refits and repairs that would take that time had priority. Now, Merlin had been scheduled for Risa for a while for just a nice, deserved shortleave, just, with the pounding they took, now it was a repair/shoreleave situation, and one that was thrust extra onto the engineering staff of the Starbase. Thus, it was probably not being looked good upon her that she was there to 'give them some update' for helm stations.
She took a sip of her coffee while waiting to be called. At least they still had manners. She was also waiting on Miles. She was early as she had woken up from a nightmare, couldn't fall back asleep, and so came this way to have a little breakfast and coffee. She had left a message for Miles so that whenever he woke up, he would know she was already there. She left it as only a missive, she was not going to wake him up early when this was his shoreleave as well.
Dressed in civilian clothes, what few he owned, Miles wandered from the Merlin and into the station. In one hand he had a tall mug of what was probably raktajino. In the other was a banana that he was slowing destroying. With a silly grin on his face he waits until his mouth is empty to say anything, "Morning Commander, Star Fleet have you on a waiting list do they, seems their SOP to me..." He'll sit close enough to lean over and brush up against her, "Like I said, this place looks much more inviting than Tarok Nor, that place gave me the creeps the few times I was on it."
Sav laughed gently, then responded, "Heya XO, yah, they have me ona waitin' list. Ah just ama here tah drop off our reinforcement changes to them. Ah escaped with verah little injury from our first changes, so t'at wasa good, ayuh." She smirked, "Tarzan like banana's? Does Tarzan like Jane-Sav?"
Almost snorting raktajino out his nose, he nods and grins, "Yes, I do like Jane-Sav. A lot by the way."
Sav blushed at his follow up. She murmured, "Thank you..." She was now sure how to respond. Someone actually liking her and wanting her not in Diostro's way was very new to her. So, she turned and surveyed the scurrying personnel around them and wondered aloud, "When will we be recognized?"
"Now, as you're a Commander and I'm XO of a ship at berth, you'd think they'd have someone here waiting on us, instead of the other way around..." Miles moves closer so he can look over whom Sav may have missed, but also to give him a better view of Sav in her outfit...thinking naughty thoughts usually gets him in trouble, maybe that will work here...
Sav didn't notice Miles moving closer, but her brain registered it, and her body shifted her pose to more profile and likable. Her subconscious activated and brought her into a more 'risky' pose, one taught to her over and over in the dungeon, hinting at her 'wares'. She, herself, did not notice, as she saw an engineer heading their way.
Lt. Lebronsky came up to the two, slowing down a bit at seeing a Cardassian and a female 'skunk?' before him. He saw civy clothing, so asked, "Umm, are you two from the Merlin?"
Sav churred gently and answered, "Yes. I'm Commander Save'ena Tillatix, Chief Flight Control Officer and former CAG, and this is the 2nd Officer Lieutenant Miles Rejal. We had been working on reinforcing the Command consoles on the bridge to help out with preventing dire exploding and killing of officers. Our last round of reinforcing and moving power around worked, but as we were in space, we were not able to fully implement our changes. Thus, we are here to offer our plans, why, and to see if you could get it done while we enjoy shore leave. If we have to help, I will forgo shoreleave, but Mile's here should be allowed to experience it as this is his true first." Sav left off that it would be hers as well, her shoreleaves had all been on starbases only.
Lt. Jeffrey Lebronsky cocked his head as he looked between them. "Umm, reinforcing plans? Wait, aren't you two supposed to be on shoreleave and critical path counseling analyses after what happened during the last mission?"
Cocking his left eyebrow, Miles friendly demeanor vanishes. "Yes, well, as these reinforcements are the reason Commander Tillatix is still alive and breathing, they take precedent over my shoreleave. Just in case you haven't received all our specifications, I've downloaded them to this PADD. The reasoning and tests we performed are included, as well, what the bridge looked like before, and after what modifications we were able to install. Any further questions?"
Jeffrey was taken aback at the demeanor change and the sudden information overload. He gathered himself and managed a "No, Sir."
Sav tugged on Miles sleeve and whispered, "He doesn't know, Miles, take it easy." She now turned her attention to the Lt. "That is why we are here, to make sure the full plans are implemented. It will cut down on bridge casualties, and help out those flying the ship. As you have them, we will take our leave of you."
Sav reached up to give Miles a kiss under his jaw, then said, "I'm safe, I'm here, and we have shoreleave. Can we?"
With a grin and a return kiss Miles replies, "Yes mam. Alright Jeffery don't mess our girl up too much." Looking at Sav, Miles asks, "So where to first, the briefing then our rooms?"
A duffel bag over one shoulder, after all she was heading out as soon as she finished her check in on the ship... or at least she had hopes to head out. A soft chuckle as she listened to Lieutenant Ramsey, one of the Starbases engineer's, who she'd run into during her last walk though of the ship before she'd departed it. Literally running into him at that, damn guy had seemed to have just... appeared! Not that it was a bad thing, sneaking around often gave time to see things that might need to be seen. But dang, it was a good way to find yourself on your ass at times.
Spotting the other two officers from her ship she gave a slight respectful nod of her head towards them as she straightened up a little. "Commander, Lieutenant.
