Having finally sorted out all ships business, she went to her quarters. She hadn't had a chance to speak to either Draxx or Sansa. She had learnt about Hayley leaving and wondered about how it was going to have affected Sansa.

The door to their quarters opened and she found Sansa cuddled up to her father wearing her pyjamas. Next to Nibbles Habitat lay Belle, Sansa's puppy who was snoozing on her doggy bed.

The sounds of the door opening caused Sansa to look up and before Melody had a chance to speak, she jumped up off her father and ran into her arms crying. "You're ok.... You're ok!" she sobbed quietly.

Melody held her daughter, comforting her. " Yes, I'm ok Sweetie. The babies are ok too." She added, pre-empting Draxx’s question. "Hey there Sweetie."

DraXx got up and went and put his arms round both of them. “Im so glad everyone's okay. We were so worried”

“Sansas moved back in sweetheart. She needs some TLC right now. Hayley left, ” he told her.

Melody nodded. "I know. There is a new security chief already onboard." Melody replied quietly to Draxx

“What happened with Caroline?” the Bajoran asked. “One minute she was in contact and then she went completely quiet. Is she okay?”

Melody shook her head. "We're not sure yet. One minute she was boarding a ship heading back to Earth and the next minute she sends out a call for help. We're trying to get the warp signature of the ship that took her from the sensor logs but right now we don't have a clue who's taken her or why."

"Wasn't she in some research group?" Draxx asked. "Didn't she tell us one time that some of the group had disappeared? I can't remember the name or the disease ... it was something on a previous ship she was on. A virus, a horrible one."

Melody thought for a moment. “She did mention being part of a research team that was investigating neural regeneration. I’ll have to look through her service history. We should have the warp signature of the ship that abducted her shortly and our new chief of security is conducting an investigation also.”

Melody took a deep breath and sagged slightly. "To be honest with you, I'm exhausted and dirty. They made me sleep in a cave. I could do with a sonic shower."

"How about I run you a bath and you have a good soak. Just relax love and come join us on the sofa when your ready. We can just have a family night tonight. Let everything settle," he said looking over at Sansa. "Hows about I make some warm milk and cookies?"

Melody smiled at him, drew him closer and kissed him. "sometimes, I know exactly why I married you. That sounds wonderful."

Sansa managed a smile and nodded too.

Melody drew Sansa in close too and held her for a moment. "I know it hurts Sweetie but you'll be ok. We're all going to be ok."

Draxx bestowed a kiss on both of their foreheads. "As your mother says love. You always have us. I'll go run that bath now."
