Unbeknownst to Melody and Caroline, the injection that Caroline had administered had an unexpected side effect.

Melody was walking with intent. Drax was sat dozing on the sofa and Sansa was reading a book. She entered her quarters and immediately went over to Sansa "Sweetie why don't go spend some time with Hayley.... Why not stay the night... have a nice time Sweetie."

Sansa had bearly time to think as Melody ushered her out the door "I....I.... ok Mom, You'll be ok?"

Melody smiled at her "Yes, we'll be fine, go have some fun." She reentered their quarters "Computer!" Secure these quarters." With a predatory gleam in her eyes, she looked at Draxx like a lion looks at a tasty zebra.

Draxx cocked an eye at her choice of phrase. "I'm fairly sure your safe Mel."

She was breathing heavy. “But you may not be...” she said as she launched herself at him in a fit of animal passion. Their lips entangled, her soul ablaze.

It was the greatest 2 hours of Draxx's life. Afterwards, he lay there with a slightly bemused expression on his face as Melody lay cuddled up to him.

"Wow what brought that on?" he asked. "Not that I am complaining. You just not usually so ..... forward."

Melody was laying next to him trying to sort out her own thoughts and feelings. I’m..... I’m not sure. I went to see Caroline and Starfleet medical has come up with a treatment program for me so I can have a baby.... normally.” She rolled and looked up at his face. “Surprise.” She added with a smile, hoping he would react positively.

"Really ...." he said a big smile flooding his face. "Everything would be normal. The baby would stay a baby?"

"Hang on is this a side effect as if it is I'm really going to enjoy this," he chuckled.

Melody nodded and smiled back at him. "Yes, the baby would develop at a normal rate. I've got to take a series of injections and I'm guessing a side effect which they neglected to mention would be an increased desire for..."

"Me," Draxx wiggled his eyebrows and then hit her with his smouldering look. "Your husband. The man who has your heart ......

"You know this could happen each time I have to take one of those injections." She added.

"I can see I am going to have to carb up and rest appropriately," Draxx stated.

Despite herself, Melody laughed. "Why am I not surprised that you are enjoying this. Not that I'm complaining mind you." She lay back down into Draxx. "Just be careful what you wish for my dear.."

She took a deep breath "When are we going to tell Sansa?"

"Well its probably best to do that when your actually pregnant don't you think?" Draxx asked.

Melody nodded, then looked up at Draxx with a wicked smile. “Speaking of which...”. She planted a devastating kiss on him “Again?”
